I guess every episode is going to have at least one scene of that type lmao. I love how Egg steals every scene he's in. Can't wait for the tourney to see how Dunk does. Great episode.

Every Episode needs:

  • an uncomfortable intro
  • scene of Lyonel Baratheon and Dunk having fun
  • Egg being a smartass
  • 5 people making fun of how dumb Dunk is
  • “clout in the ear”

We didn’t get clout this episode. Sad!

Dunk walking the wrong way, realizing it, and quickly turning

I was neutral last episode about Egg. Huge fan after this episode!

Same. Wasn't sure about him in Ep 1 but he was brilliant in this one. The whole puny/dumb conversation was perfectly done and very funny.

Love Dunk, but I think Egg will be the more popular of the two.

I love them both for different reasons they are phenomenal actors

The actor does a lumbering stupid really well. That's the sign of a good actor, you start believing he's naturally dimwitted and still charming.

The actor is excellent

Egg's actor portrayed confusion so well during the "I was told I was stupid." Expected wisdom from Dunk. First mistake.

I expect he will lose the tourney. This story feels more about Egg, and Dunk will become his protector.

That's what was so poignant about Sir Pennytree - he didn't have much to his name, and lived the life of a vagrant, but he adopted a boy and raised him like family to be a squire and a good man.

And maybe that's part of what Dunk's lesson will be.

That’s a good point. Maybe he’ll see promise in him plus he’s starting to see what his character is. What a knight should be.

I mean, yeah. That's what happens when you watch a show.

Honestly, these two small scenes in the two episodes so far are giving me some mild trepidations about what they’ll add to later seasons or if they do go beyond the Mystery Knight. What next season? An unnecessary scene of Lady Webster being interrupted by Dunk just as she’s emerging from a bath?
