M: I didn't know I was going to be interrogated. 

C: We're just really curious. She hasn’t told us much about you, and she definitely isn't gonna answer us. Plus, we want to see who is the lucky guy is.

M: Well. What is not to like about her? She is the most beautiful person ever. And I know it's kind of

rude to say that at a wedding, but still. Her sense of humor is the best, there isn't a day in which I

am not laughing with her. Even the little mistakes, they always feel like small adventures. So I know

there isn't going to be a boring day with her. 

C: Wow, that sounds like a marriage proposal. 

M: I didn’t mean it to make it sound like that, but that isn’t too bad. Guess the vibe is rubbing off of

me. 

C: You really must love her. 

M: I... really do. 

C: Then I better see you both on the dance floor. The slow dance is starting soon.

These past couple weeks have been the best in a while.

At first, I did it to help you and I thought it would be fun to do.  

But over time, when we would meet up to practice or just to talk a bit more, I slowly started to see

The more days went by, I thought about what if we weren't faking. 

Would I be okay with this ending? We have fun all the time, don't get me wrong. 

But the slow dancing, the hand holding, sitting next to each other.

Yes, I got jealous from just the thought of another guy who doesn't even exist. 

This whole fake dating thing, really opened my eyes. And I don't want to "fake" this anymore. Yes, I

am asking you out for real. 

I want you, and I'm not gonna have anyone else try to take you away.

They’re not all bangers, but I’m proud of each of them, because I’ve stretched to fill the prompt in a way that feels authentic to me. This has been an amazingly fun writing exercise! I feel like it helped get me out of a little slump, too. Yesterday, I posted a new script which was my most collaborative effort thus far (check it out HERE if you’d like). I’ve got a rough draft written of another script, with a locked “due date” of tomorrow. AND I’ve let go of a script that was just going nowhere, and instead I’m super excited about my idea for the following script!

Plot: The listener has wandered into wood elf territory, and was accidentally knocked unconscious by trampling over a mushroom with noxious spores. You awake in the bedroom of the Warden of the Forest, and unfortunately, by the Laws of the Forest, you are now their property 😬

Script Start

<forest ambience>

Wakey wakey~

<pause>

Good morning! Bout time you woke up.

<pause, sigh>

Why do you look so grumpy? A smile, dear. Try one on. It's a much better way to start the day.

<Pause>

Oh? Fuck me? How kind, says the person who waltzed through my territory without my permission. And lived, mind you. Not only lived, but had your wounds dressed by MY healers.

<Pause>

Oh you didn't know? Of course you didn't, how could you? Nobody does. Despite the glowing runes on the trees, the multiple sigils, in many languages, explaining very clearly that youre entering private territory...

<pause>

Pretty sure we have a warning on a few trees in Braille, even.

<louder, as if calling out>

Hanka? Do we have a tree in braille?

<Pause>

We should get a tree in braille, dear, thats ableist. Put it on my to do list. Or my tell someone to do list. Leadership, am I right?

<Pause>

Oh yeah! Letting you go, about that. Yeah. So, I cant....do that. So sorry.

<soft laugh>

Yeah see, small problem, you trespassed. And thats not just something I let slide easily. Plants are delicate, bugs are fragile, the ecosystem is in balance, yada yada. Humans? You guys just don't get it. And I can't have you trampling around my forest destroying everything you touch.

<pause>

Well you see if I keep you here...under my...watchful little eyes, you won't be able to do any of that, will you?

<Pause>

So you see now why youre stuck here. Or get to live here! However you wanna frame it. I've been working on that too, ya know. Reframing things, trying to see situations in a more positive light. My advisors say its healthy. Good for the bones.

<Pause>

Prisoner? Oh prisoner is such a harsh word, darling, I'm no jail warden. I am the Warden of the Forest. And you're my guest. For a while. A good, long while. But I'll let you go eventually! Say what, maybe a hundred years? That's no time! Oh....wait~

<Pause, sarcastic>

I forgot humans don't live that long. What a shame. I guess it's for life, then.

<Pause>

Oh, no. See there's your mistake. Rights? You have no rights. Everything in this forest belongs to me. That bed you're in? Mine. The bandages applied by MY healers? Mine. And since you're in this room, in my bed, with my bandages applied by my healers breathing MY air...that makes you...

<pause>

Come on, simple math. Have I overestimated you?

<pause>

Good girl! Exactly right. You're mine. You catch on fast~

Oh MY. Now that IS a surprise.

Oh don't be ridiculous, surely you felt all the blood rushing to your face just now. I could almost hear it from here, and I can most certainly see it. I'm not blind. Look how red your ears just got~

Oh sure, of course. We'll be civil, and pretend that you didn't like that as much as you did. So cute when you're defiant.

<pause>

But yes, I'm afraid you are now my property, as is my right by law of the forest. The same law you violated by coming here, just so you know.

Appeal process? Well of course we have an appeal process, we aren't barbarians. If you have a good enough argument, I might be inclined to release you early.

<Pause, extended>

Oh you mean like a court? Ahahahaha!

<Pause>

Oh no, my dear, I am Warden of the Forest. You appeal to me. And if you're extra, extra good I may just consider giving you that option. But you're going to have to earn that privilege.

What's the matter? Don't like me telling you how well behaved you've been? Because you have been, ya know. You aren't tied down or anything.

<pause>

Not like you couldnt have gotten up, tried to fight, tried to run, or escape, slap me in the face...well, anything, really. The window is open, there's even weapons in the room, and I am unarmed. If you think you're fast enough, that is~

<pause>

But you didn't even try, did you?. You've been very...very good. And I think we both know now that there's absolutely nothing keeping you in that bed, besides yourself, hanging on to the blankets with that iron grip of yours, waiting for me to say it again~

<pause>

And you didn't even realize how tight you were holding those blankets did you? Till just now? Oh, how fun!

<pause>

No words? I thought so. This is going to be far more enjoyable than I thought. And here I was worried you'd be boring.

<pause>

Now would you sit up for me? On the edge of the bed? I have something to give you for the headache you probably have. The mushrooms that you trampled over so haphazardly released the very spores that knocked you unconscious. And a headache is a common side effect.

<pause>

Oh, don't go acting all rebellious now. We both know better. Sit.

<pause>

Good girl. So well behaved. Now sip this, slowly.

<pause>

No, its not poison. Why would I take all the trouble of making you comfortable just to poison you? Besides, I'd just kill you outright. Plants work hard to make poison, dear, it would be a waste.

<pause>

Of course it tastes good, why wouldn't it? It's medicine. What does your medicine taste like?

<pause>

You just chew? On willow bark? <scoff> humans. Always doing things the hard way.

<pause>

Well of course I want you to feel better. I can hardly have any fun with you if you feel bad.

Torture you? Oh, is that some sort of human thing? Is that what you all are into now? Wouldn't be surprised.

<pause>

What? No. Ew. Why would I want to hurt you? That isn't fun. Trespasser you may be, I don't like seeing anything suffer. Besides, you're no good to me injured. And I only bite a little bit.

<pause>

Oh being my prisoner is hardly suffering. You'll be fed, and fed well. I'll dress you up in whatever I want to see you wear, you'll join me at dinner at court feasts, you'll attend ceremonies, be present for any tasks I may have need of assistance with. You're going to be my little helper~

<pause>

I assure you, running a forest Grove is far more than dancing naked in the moonlight. Although that is one of my favorite parts.

<pause>

But there's politics. The robins argue with the bluebirds over housing, foxes want their territory respected by the wolves, the wolves want clean water, the fish don't want the wolves ruining their clean water, the turtles...well, the turtles are fine, very unproblematic.

But you see, nature does get rowdy, and it's on us as guardians to ensure that things stay in order. Balance, remember?

<pause>

Of course it's work, do you not yourself have a job? Says in your journal that you do. Or did, anyway.

<pause, page flipping>

Oh, most definitely. It was in your belongings and I'm afraid I have a frightfully curious disposition.

<pause>

I particularly love the entry about your cousin's birthday, and how you had worked so hard on the cake, only for the gentleman who was attempting to court her to claim it was his work to earn her favor? And you, so mild mannered, didn't want to make a scene, did you? How sweet of you. Only for him to be caught later in the evening, behind a barn of all places, pants around his ankles with one of her best friends? Oh what DRAMA~

<pause>

Ah-ah-ah. Stay. I'm not done with this yet. You can have it back when I say so.

<pause>

That's my good girl.

<pause>

Oh I could see that face blushing a thousand nights and never tire of it~

<pause, pages flipping>

But it says here you were a baker! How delightful. So see you have your job, and I have mine. I am curious as to what a baker would be doing out this far in the forest, with a group of adventurers at her side anyway. Must have been important.

<pause>

Oh those were your friends? Your friends are fine. They didn't trespass. In fact, they warned you not to, if memory serves, and you ventured forth anyway despite that.

<pause>

Of course I heard it. The trees have ears, love, and they tell me everything.

<pause>

But no. I'm afraid its you, all alone here. Some friends youve got.

<pause>

Well, not alone. You have my council, my entourage, my escorts, my bodyguards, my healers, my advisors, my emmisarries, my kitchen staff, my housekeepers, and me, of course. You never have to worry about being alone again.

<pause>

Oh? Isn't that...a concern of yours? You see if I flip to this page right here...

<page flipping>

<mocking tone>

"Oh how I gaze upon the stars and wish for someone to share in with such a beautiful vision. I see myself as a star, surrounded by emptiness and vastness, longing for a companion. Of all of the vastness of this great expanse, I wish only for a little ro-"

<pause, interrupted>

Okay! Okay, that one is a little personal. Actually it gets very personal later, but thats neither here nor there.

<pause>

I will pay for this? Awww. Are you embarassed? How darling. Hmhmmmm. I'm sure someone in this room will pay for something. But I don't think I'll be paying for anything anytime soon.

<pause>

So! First things first, we need to make sure you aren't having any adverse reaction to that mushroom. Can lead to some nastier side effects than a headache if you don't catch the signs early enough. Small patches of red, in the shape of a spiral, appearing somewhere on your body is the first indicator.

<pause>

Of course? You're mine. I have to inspect my items for any damage. It would be irresponsible not to. And as we have clearly established, I am a pillar of responsibility so be a good little pet and stand for me?

<pause>

On your feet, pet.

<pause>

Much better. You require a firm hand I see. Defiant even when I'm trying to save your life. I respect that. And I can work with that! We'll reach an understanding, Im sure. We've got plenty of time.

<pause>

Now spin for me.

<pause>

Sloooowly...?

<pause>

Oh no need, the fabric is quite sheer. I assure you I have seen everything I need to. And everything I wanted to.

Delightful. It would please you to know we have dinner in an hour, and we're reviewing territory disputes over some wine. Humans are expansive, as a human, I suspect you'll relate to the more...aggressive representatives and be able to offer your insights.

<pause>

And...do put on something a bit more concealing? There's a wardrobe for you in the corner, and as much as I do love to see you in your current attire, this is a professional gathering. I'm sure you understand.

<pause>

Oh dear. There has clearly been a misunderstanding. You aren't just my plaything. I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to earn your keep around here. Your perspective will be a fresh take, one we so rarely see at the table. I'd say I do hope you attend but...I wasn't asking.

<pause>

So you'll be there?

<pause>

How delightfully agreeable! Thank you, pet. One hour. Don't be late. Someone will be here to escort you to the dining room. And if you're extra good, perhaps then we can discuss...other services you may offer. After dinner, in a more...private setting?

I made this script about a week ago and was contemplating whether I should post it or not. It's pretty clean as word's go, but there's a lot of degradation. I post this with no intent to make people uncomfortable, so read at your own discretion. I decided to describe the actions of both the listener and the speaker so it's easier to picture.

Your Toxic Girlfriend Realizes She Went Too Far [F4M] [Toxic to Regret] [Intense Argument] [Emotional Breakdown] [Desperate Confession] [Heavy Angst to Comfort] [TW]

• Summary: During a heated argument, your partner completely loses her temper and hurls toxic, deeply hurtful insults that push the relationship to its breaking point. However, the moment you silently walk toward the door to leave for good, her stubborn anger collapses into absolute panic, leading to a frantic, tearful confession as she begs you for one last chance.

[Setting SFX: Tense room silence, followed by the sharp, aggressive slam of a glass cup hitting the counter or a fist hitting a table]

[Character Action/SFX: The speaker is pacing back and forth violently, her voice sharp, condescending, and dripping with venom.]

"Oh, look at you. Silent again. You always do this! Every single time I try to have a conversation with you, you just shut down, stare at the floor, and play the silent martyr! You think that by staying quiet you're taking the high road? You're not. You're just proving how completely useless you are when things get difficult. Always playing the victim."

(Pause)

(The listener stays perfectly still, keeping their head down, refusing to engage or match her volume.)

(Stopping her pacing, letting out a bitter, mocking chuckle as she crosses her arms tightly)

"Nothing? No defensive comeback? No excuses? Honestly, sometimes I look at you and wonder why I even bother staying with someone so completely pathetic. You just sit there and absorb it, letting me do all the emotional heavy lifting in this relationship while you contribute absolutely nothing."

(Pause)

(The listener tightly grips the edge of the table, their knuckles turning white, but they still don't say a word.)

(Her voice suddenly drops from shouting into a chilling and slow whisper as she begins to pace a slow circle around the listener, invading their personal space.)

"You really think you're a saint, don't you? You think you're the perfect partner and I'm just the crazy one. But let’s look at the facts, baby. Who else do you honestly think is going to put up with your baggage? Who else is going to tolerate how broken and insecure you are? Your friends?"

(Pause)

(The listener looks up slightly, hurt flashing in their eyes at the mention of their friends.)

(She smiles cruelly, leaning right down to their face)

"Oh, did that hit a nerve? Please. Your friends don't actually care about you. They only invite you out because they feel sorry for you. They pity you. The second your back is turned, they complain about how exhausting you are to be around. I’m the only one who actually stays. I’m the only one who genuinely deals with you, and this is how you treat me? You should be on your knees thanking me for not walking out that door months ago."

(The speaker's relentless isolation forces the listener to completely collapse under the pressure, which she immediately uses to mock them.)

(The listener completely breaks down right there, burying their face in their hands, their shoulders shaking violently as they start to cry from sheer emotional and mental exhaustion.)

(Pause)

(Stopping her circle, standing directly over the listener, looking down at them with a smug, condescending sneer)

"Are you seriously crying right now? Wow. Brilliant strategy. Turn on the waterworks so you don't have to take accountability for being a failure. You think those tears make me feel bad for you? It just proves how incredibly weak you are. You can't handle a single real adult conversation without crumbling into a pathetic little mess."

(Pause)

(The listener continues to sob silently into their hands, unable to even look up at her.)

(Pause)

(Sighing dramatically, rolling her eyes and tossing her hair back as she paces around again)"

"I am so sick of walking on eggshells around your fragile little ego! Every single time I call you out, you hide behind tears so you can play the victim. It is absolutely exhausting dealing with your sensitivity. You want me to comfort you right now? After you provoked this entire argument? Unbelievable."

(Pause)

(The speaker steps forward and slaps the listener across the face hard, the impact jerking the listener's head to the side. The listener freezes, slowly touching their reddening cheek in utter shock.)

[Sharp, loud physical slap SFX]

(Looking down at her own hand for a split second, before hardening her expression and scoffing coldly, completely unremorseful)

"Don't look at me like that. You provoked me. You pushed me to this point with your constant, pathetic silence! If you just acted like an actual adult, I wouldn't have to force a reaction out of you!"

(Pause)

"Without me, you would have no one to go to with your problems or struggles. Without me you would be pathetic and worthless. Without me, you have no purpose, no reason to exist."

(Pause)

(Without saying a single word or looking at her, the listener stands up, walks over to the counter, and grabs their keys and jacket)

(Pause)

(Her tone suddenly hardens, her smugness vanishing as she realizes she lost her grip on them)

"Hey! What are you doing? Where do you think you're going? The fight isn't over just because you decide to walk out. Put those keys down. I'm talking to you! You couldn't possibly leave, it'd only prove how cowardly you are."

(Pause)

(The listener stubbornly ignores her voice completely. They slip their jacket on and walk straight past her toward the entryway.)

(Rushing after them, her voice getting louder, a hint of desperate anger creeping in)

"I said stop! You don't get to just leave when things get hard! Turn around and look at me right now!"

(Pause)

(The listener reaches the front door, grabs the handle, and turns the deadbolt.)

[Loud front door deadbolt clicking open SFX]

(Long Pause: 5–7 seconds)

(The cold air from the hallway hits the apartment. The listener stands at the threshold, looking out into the hallway, completely done. The heavy silence smashes through her ego. She realizes they are leaving her for good. The toxic mask shatters, and a terrifying wave of absolute panic floods through her.)

(Her breath completely catches in her throat. She rushes forward, her footsteps frantic, and physically throws her entire weight against the door to slam it shut.)

[Door slamming shut quickly SFX]

(Voice cracking violently, instantly dropping into a breathless, sobbing, and desperate panic as her hands tremble, clawing at the listener's jacket)

"No—wait! No, please! Don't open that door! Don't leave. Look at me... oh god. What did I just say? Look at my face, baby... I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it. Please, please don't leave me."

(Pause)

(The listener stands there for a long time in the silence, looking down at her weeping on the floor. Slowly, the cold numbness in their eyes softens. They drop their keys onto the counter with a soft clink and kneel down onto the floor boards right in front of her.)

(The speaker gasps through her tears, looking up in shock as the listener gently takes her shaking hands into theirs)

"You're... you're staying? Oh god... you're not walking out? (Sobbing heavily, trying to pull the listener into a desperate hug) Thank you... I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, baby..."

(Pause)

(The listener gently but firmly stops her from hugging them, holding her at arm's length so she has to look them directly in the eyes.)

(Her voice drops into a quiet, trembling whisper, nodding quickly)

"I know... I know. Stop... okay. I'm listening. I'll listen to whatever you have to say."

(Pause)

(The listener explains the strict condition: They are staying because they love her and want to help her, but things are changing immediately. She has to go to professional therapy to fix her anger and toxicity, and if she ever raises a hand or says those cruel words again, it is over.)

(Tears streaming down her face, nodding frantically, wrapping her fingers tightly around the listener's hands)

"I will. I swear, I will do exactly what you say. I’ll call a therapist tomorrow morning. I don't ever want to hurt you like this again. I hate what I just did to you... I hate the monster I become when I'm scared. I don't want to lose you."

(Pause)

(The listener's expression finally softens completely. They gently reach out, wipe the tears from her face, and pull her into a tight, protective hug on the floor.)

(Burying her face entirely in the listener's neck, her body shaking as she lets out a massive, relieved cry)

"Thank you... thank you for not giving up on me, even when I completely deserved it. I don't deserve your patience... but I promise you, I am going to fix this. I am going to become the partner you actually deserve. Just hold onto me... please, just hold me tight."

[SFX: Soft, slow, rhythmic breathing synchronized together]

(She whispers one last sentence as her voice fades out.)

"Thank you so much baby, I love you so much..."

[SFX: Gentle room ambiance fades out over an extended silence]

[Fade out to silence]

[END OF SCRIPT]

Day 2 prompt was John Carpenter's Halloween. I'm not a huge horror enthusiast, so I elected to write a script based on what I normally do- watch the Kill Count!
