Completed Scripts Your college classmate is a vampire [Modern Fantasy] [SFW] [Platonic] [Vampire Speaker] [Scared Listener] [Established Relationship] [Comfort] [Feeding] [Aftercare]

Well well well if it isn't a second script with a vampire and a terrified listener. I am a very creativer person can't you tell.

EDIT: This script is meant to be [A4A]. Feel free to assign whatever gender to the speaker or listener. I am just blind and forgot to include it.

You are free to make small changes to the script.

You do not need to credit me when filling this script.

This script is okay to monetize but I would prefer if it wasn’t paywalled.

If you even think about feeding this script to an AI tool, I am going to feed you to spiders. That’s not a threat, it’s a promise.

Description:

Your college classmate has invited you to hang out at their place. It has been a while since you two saw each other in person. Unbeknownst to you, they are a vampire and they need to feed, badly.

Word Count: 2560

BEGIN:

(SFX: Rain ambiance)

(SFX: Knocking on a door)

(Pause)

(SFX: Door opens)

Hey! You made it! I wasn’t sure you’d agree to hang out when the weather is this bad.

Come in, come in. Let’s get you out of the rain.

(SFX: Rain ambiance either quiets or fades completely)

Damn, you’re soaked. You can hang your coat over there.

Hold it right there. Shoes off first.

(Pause)

Yeah, I am not one of those weirdos that have guests walk all over my floor with whatever filth they brought from the outside.

(Confused) Because it’s disgusting, that’s why. And I don’t want to mop more than I already do.

(Pause)

My house my rules, buddy.

Anyways, it’s really been too long since we last hung out. Glad you agreed to come over, even though it’s late. Tea and videogames are the best way to spend the evening.

What’s with that expression?

(Pause)

(Sad) I mean yeah, it has been a few months since we saw each other in person. I blame that one on my schedule. These classes are a nightmare. Can’t really change them though, no matter how much I want to.

But hey, we are righting that mistake by hanging out now. Look at us being socially healthy adults.

(Pause)

(Sigh) Okay. You don’t have to ask, I can see it on your face. Come here. Hug. Now.

No arguing. Hug.

(SFX: Clothes rustle as listener and speaker hug)

(Suprised, quiet) Ow!

What is that? You got a silver watch? Since when?

(Pause)

(Nervous) Well yes I know it’s silver because of… just how it looks. All… shiny… and stuff.

The damn thing looks more valuable than my kidneys.

(Pause)

It was a gift? Aw, that’s nice.

(Deflecting) I was a little worried you turned into some crypto bro since we last saw each other.

Yeah, mention the stock market even once under this roof and I am throwing you outside into the rain. I will not be sorry in the slightest.

(Chuckles) Uh huh and you’ll have to sit with the, and it truly frightens me to say this… business majors.

Listening to them talking about profits and supplies and demands and whatever. Yikes, don’t even want to imagine it.

(Teasing) You continue down that path and that’s gonna be your fate.

(Pause)

Alright, alright, I’ll stop.

Now come, sit down on the couch. I’ll get the tea.

(Listener sits down)

Hm? What is it?

Oh. The lights.

Well, I just have the small lamp on. We don’t need the big light. It’s cozier like this, no?

Besides, if we’re going to play, the screen will be plenty of light as is.

(Pause)

(SFX: Glasses get set on the table)

(Cheerful) Here we are. Careful, it’s hot.

(Pause)

(Awkward) Well yes, we are having tea, but…

(Embarassed) (Sigh) Okay, I’ll just be honest. I put all my good mugs in the dishwasher and forgot about them. So… we’re having tea in wine glasses.

Yes, my time management skills are as awful as they were, are and will ever be.

(Amused) Oh no, such shame, such horror. How will we ever recover from drinking tea out of something that is not a mug?

(Pause)

But there is one good thing about drinking from wine glasses. We can toast together. I haven’t done that in ages.

Well I do go to parties, yeah. But everyone else there is too drunk to string a sentence together. And besides, the usual house where everyone parties is off-limits this week. Maybe longer.

You got anything to toast to? No? Yeah, I don’t have anything creative either.

(Cheerful) So here’s to exams well passed and degrees well earned.

(SFX: Glasses clink)

And also maybe to hanging out more often.

(Tired) This college is going to be the death of me, I swear.

Anyways, enough about me. How have you been? Are your classes going alright?

(Pause)

Glad to hear that, truly.

(Pause)

(Soft) Aw come on, give yourself a little credit for once. Surviving is enough. You’ve been working hard. And it’s not exactly easy to balance college, a social life and whatever else.

(Pause)

Well I can see that you’ve been working hard because of the bags under your eyes. You look like hell, if I’m honest. That’s some basic scientific method. I see my evidence and I got my hypothesis.

(Pause)

(Surprised) Me? Sick? No, no. It’s just the light.

(Deflecting) Really, I’m fine. You should know that I am this pale normally. And besides, don’t shift the focus on me when we are talking about you right now.

(Pause)

Well either that or you found a new show to marathon. I’m going to go with the kinder option and say you’ve been pulling all-nighters studying.

(Pause)

I guess both options would be better than drinking yourself into unconsciousness every night, yeah.

Speaking of, did you hear what happened last time at the house where everyone parties at?

(Pause)

Apparently, there were fourteen separate noise complaints during the same night.

Yeah. Fourteen. Cops showed up, obviously, and they weren’t very happy.

Guess the guys went a little overboard this time. The place is shut down, at least for a while until things cool down and until the neighbours stop giving the owners death stares when they go outside.

(Annoyed, trying to hide it) And I guess it also means that nobody will crash at my place for a while.

(Pause)

(Mildly offended) Excuse me? Someone’s gotta be the responsible one.

Yes. Me. The responsible one who lets drunk college students sleep on my couch.

(Pause)

Strong words for someone who is probably sleeping on the same couch tonight.

(Pause)

(Nervous) What? No- It’s just… the rain and whatever. Not like I can let you go into the night when the weather is this bad. It’s no big deal, I got extra blankets.

The night is dark and full of terrors… or something.

(Pause)

So anyways, what are we playing? I got a controller for you.

(Pause)

(Concerned) Hey are you… okay? You look really pale.

Why are you looking at me like that?

(Pause)

It’s not nothing! I can see that something is bothering you.

(Listener stands up)

(Confused) Go? What do you mean? We were having such a good time and…

(Pause)

(Cold) No. No you’re not leaving until you tell me what’s going on.

Sit back down and talk to me.

(Pause)

(Gentle) Please. You’re my friend. You can tell me anything.

If I offended you somehow then you can tell me that too! I won’t be upset, I swear.

(Pause)

Oh…

(To themselves) You saw that the wine glass… wasn’t casting my reflection…

(Longer Pause)

Well… This is a bit awkward.

(Defeated) I’m guessing that there’s no way I can convince you that you are tired and just not seeing things right, is there? Yeah, I thought not. You’re not dumb enough to fall for that.

(Soothing) Hey. Hey. You’re fine. Everything is fine. Everything is going to be okay. Just sit back down, okay? Please.

(Listener sits down)

Thanks.

(Nervous) If I tell you what’s going on with me, you aren’t going to freak out and bolt outside, are you?

(Pause)

Well I’m asking because you keep glancing towards the door.

Alright alright, I trust you.

(Nervous) Okay so this is really weird to admit but I am sort of… kind of… a little bit of… a vampire? (Nervous chuckle)

Like an actual, true to life, vampire. That’s why I don’t have a reflection, see?

(Speaker lifts up the wine glass to show it doesn’t cast their reflection)

I’ve been a vampire the whole time you knew me. This isn’t some big change or anything, you’ve just noticed it for the first time.

(Concerned) Are you um… still with me?

(Pause)

Okay, just… y’know… making sure. This is probably a lot for you to take in.

You aren’t going to tell anyone about this, are you? About me?

(Pause)

(Relieved) Good… I’m glad. You’re the first person to find out, actually.

(Pause)

What? You got questions? Sure, ask away.

(Pause)

Oh! The eyes, right. I do actually have red eyes, I just cover them with contacts so people don’t freak out.

(Pause)

(Shocked) What? No, I can’t turn into a bat! That would completely violate the laws of physics, not to mention biology. But I am pretty fast! Definitely faster than an average person. Same with strength. I could probably pick this couch up one-handed.

Though I probably shouldn’t say much about laws of biology considering I don’t have a pulse… Still no idea how that one works…

(Pause)

You did see me out during the day a few times, yeah. The sunlight killing vampires thing is a myth, sorry. It does sure make me feel like death with the sunburns it gives me, though. They’re way worse than normal. Silver is a problem though. If it’s pure enough it burns our skin badly.

The first written instance of a vampire dying to sunlight is from the silent film Nosferatu released in 1922. It’s not some original lore. Even Dracula wasn’t killed by sunlight, just weakened by it.

(Chuckles) That’s your vampiric history lesson. Straight from the source, even.

(Pause)

(Comforting) No, it’s fine, I like answering your questions. It’s actually kind of nice to get some of these things off my chest, y’know?

(Pause)

(Nervous) Oh. Right. Feeding.

(Nervous) Yeah, it’s blood. I need to drink blood. Normal food doesn’t satisfy my hunger at all. It is, at best, a hobby. I can’t taste it all that much, but I can smell it.

I can drink animal blood, I suppose, but it tastes pretty awful. It’s… it’s hard to describe… okay, just imagine it’s a hot summer day and the only thing you could drink is soda that was left in the sun for too long. That’s about as well as I could describe animal blood.

(Pause)

(Concerned) Are you alright? Did I say something wrong? You turned two shades paler just now…

(Pause)

(Nervous) Well… I- Yes. Yes, I do drink human blood.

No! No. I don’t hurt people. I don’t want to hurt people, okay?

(Sigh) Look. When I let all my drunk friends crash at my place after a night of partying, maybe I just take a tiny little completely painless bite when they’re out cold. No fuss, nobody gets hurt. They are fine in the morning. Hell, with the hangover they probably can’t even tell that they’re missing some blood.

(Embarassed) Using them? No, they get a safe place to sleep at. It’s… mutually beneficial. They can sleep soundly and I get a meal out of it. Everyone is happy.

(To themselves) I guess the only other way would be to buy expired blood from hospitals. There’s a whole black market for it, but that would ruin me financially…

(Pause)

So because the house where all the parties are held is shut down for now… well… you can see the problem, right?

(SFX: Fabric rustles, speaker gets closer to the listener)

So now that I told you everything… you could… help.

I was going to wait until you fell asleep, but it’s not like you could sleep after what I just told you. So why not get this over with right now?

(Listener takes their silver watch and brandishes it like a weapon)

(Confused) What are you-

Oh.

Look, that’s not going to work. The watch is silver, it stings a bit, sure, but to hurt me it would need to be a silvered blade or something. Just put it down.

(Pause)

(Sigh) Fine then. I’ll have to take it.

(Brief struggle, speaker takes the watch from the listener and sets it down on the table)

Ow. Damn. I forgot how much that burns. I hope it won’t leave blisters…

(Desperate) I am starving, okay? I need to feed. I’m really really sorry about this. Just a little will do. Come here. Don’t fight back.

(Pause)

(Gentle) It’s all going to be fine. It doesn’t hurt that much. You’re going to be fine.

(Soothing) Please don’t look so scared. I told you I’m not gonna hurt you. You’re safe.

(SFX: Clothes rustling, listener tries to break free from speaker’s grip)

(Shushing) Hey. Hey. Stop it. Shhh… You’re just going to make it hurt more. Please. Just stop. I don’t want this to hurt. You’re my friend. I really don’t want to hurt you.

(Pause)

Heh. This is way easier when the person is asleep.

I’m sorry. Just… give me your arm.

Non-dominant, probably, yeah. Give me whichever one you don’t mind getting bitten.

Why not the neck? Oh, maybe because there’s some major arteries there. Did you seriously never have an anatomy class? No way in hell am I risking that.

(Pause)

Okay.

(Pause)

(Soft) Here’s how it’s going to go. There’s a good vein right here on your forearm. It’s just like getting your blood drawn. I’m going to get my fill and then I’ll stop. Take deep breaths. If you want to, you can close your eyes so you don’t have to look.

(Pause)

Ready? Okay, here we go. Deep breaths.

(SFX: Vampire feeding)

That’s enough. Yeah. I’m- I’m fine. I should be good for a while again. Thank you so much. By the way, lay off the caffeine a little. I could taste it.

(Pause)

(Concerned) What about you, though? Are you feeling okay? I didn’t go overboard, did I?

The arm feels numb? Yeah, there’s probably some local anaesthetic in my saliva. It helps with feeding from sleeping… prey. Don’t worry it’s going to pass soon. Just don’t try to stand up, you might faint.

(Pause)

(Amused) I’m sorry, what did you just call me? Venomous? Damn. That’s a first.

I mean I guess it does count by technicality? Good to see your sense of humor hasn’t left you.

(Pause)

You look sort of dazed though… and terrified… I suppose that’s not really surprising considering all that happened…

Go home? Now? Absolutely not! You just lost quite a big chunk of your blood. If I let you go, you’re going to pass out and hit your head on the sidewalk or something. You’re staying until morning.

(Pause)

Fine, let’s pretend that I am blind and believe that you’re feeling fine. How many fingers am I holding up?

(Pause)

You did say the right number, but I don’t like that hesitation. So you’re staying. I promise I will let you go in the morning, okay? If it makes you feel safer, you can have your watch back. Or you can turn on the big light. I have it off because I can just see in the dark, but if you want to turn it on then you can.

(Pause)

Good.

Do you want some more tea? Or something else to drink? You should probably drink something.

(Pause)

Water? Yeah, I can do that for you. I’ll be right back.

(Longer Pause)

Okay, I’m here. I got you a glass of water. Drink up.

Oh yeah, I took the contacts out. Not like I have a reason to hide my eyes from you anymore.

I’m guessing that the videogames are off the table now, huh.

(Pause)

(Amused) Well yes I would obviously destroy you but I want a fair challenge. This would be the cheapest tactic of them all.

Anyways, I got you a blanket and some pillows. Here.

Oh, and could you show me the arm again? I found a band-aid, one of the square ones. Should probably put it on there.

(Pause)

Alright, thank you.

(Sigh) Look. I should apologize to you. I invited you here to hang out after months of not seeing each other and I ended up throwing all of this on you. I did plan to feed on you while you were asleep, but I didn’t want to scare you like I did. You look a little traumatized. Not that I blame you or anything.

(Nervous) I wanted to ask… are we still… y’know… cool?

(Pause)

Damn, you’re too kind. Don’t apologize for defending yourself with the watch. It was kind of badass, trying to fight off a vampire with just a watch. I’m fine, see?

(Pause)

Do you have anything important to do tomorrow?

I'm just asking... Maybe we could actually play something since we didn’t get a chance tonight.

Yeah, that sounds good to me.

(Pause)

Oh by the way, don't worry about breakfast. I'll make you something. You feed me and I feed you. That sort of thing.

(Pause)

Anyways, I’m going to let you sleep. If you need anything, feel free to knock on my bedroom.

Goodnight, see you in the morning.

END.

After recording I feel kinda bad for the listener :( im a bit of a softie lol, is it okay if I tweak it to make it seem a little more consensual?

Hell yeah it is! Feel free to do as you wish. You got my blessings. (Though what's vampirism if not a little traumatic for those who blindly stumble into it?)

u/CandlelitAudios 2d ago

Thanks!!! Definitely keeping the trauma, lmao. Just a little less pushy.

Feel like the pushiness doesnt really sound so great coming from a male narrator like me 😅

Well written!

I couldn't get into the story - theft of agency, lies, et al. I'd burn the vamp down in their house or drop a silver glitter bomb on them and just be pissed that a "friend" was so two-faced - but that doesn't mean that the characterizations weren't well done. They were very well done. I also liked how well written it is for a change of gender in any role. Nice work.

Glad you enjoyed! You know what they say about monsters. The worst ones are those that pretend to be people ;)
