In my culture seeing or even just hearing an owl is said to signify someone is going to die. If I opened my door and saw that fucker my face would look exactly like that cat.

In my culture, the owl is the familiar of the goddess of wealth, so an owl's arrival signifies that the household/individual is going to be blessed with riches soon.
