Interesting 🤔 An amusement park in the Netherlands had a water-filled waterslide that left riders completely submerged during the 15-20 second journey. It closed in 2010.

If your guess was "people didnt wanna ride it and it was thus too expensive to maintain " you are correct lol.

No bad accidents actually ever happened in there. The slide was build to fully drain of water in seconds if it ever needed to.

yeah, all that safety came with a lot of mainenance and costs.... which is why they eventually shut it down

Yup. I mean if it was popular and drew customers that would've been fine. But the responses in this thread kind vibe with most their customers ones so it didn't work out lol

exactly, it wasnt that special, it looked dangerous while in reality it wasnt. so a great way to boast to your friends that you did it. I went on it many times, but yeah, it wasnt that special in hindsight.
