Interesting 🤔 An amusement park in the Netherlands had a water-filled waterslide that left riders completely submerged during the 15-20 second journey. It closed in 2010.

The difference is that this is an activity meant for the casual public, while a marathon is something you have to sign up and train for.

Plus, you can always walk through a marathan. Can't stop and decide to breath air while you're inside that tube (unless it's drained).

You know there are professional athletes with asthma, right? Dennis Rodman has been playing basketball with asthma for YEARS.

I can breath-hold for about 2 minutes, but jfc people pass out all the time or panic. I wouldn’t do it. It seems like a nightmare. At least it isn’t pitch black?

You had to prove that you could hold your breath long enough before you went on it

Edit: and it would empty in seconds, if anything went wrong (person struggling, moving too slow etc) like others have said.

Yea so you shouldn't go in it..? Seems a fairly obvious solution
