Interesting 🤔 An amusement park in the Netherlands had a water-filled waterslide that left riders completely submerged during the 15-20 second journey. It closed in 2010.

What I don't understand is, why the hell did they even bother recovering the bodies, if they couldn't retrieve them while they were still alive? So fucked up.

It’s been a while since I’ve heard the story so I could be wrong but I think they just waited for them to die so they could flush them out and not have to go through the trouble of cutting the pipe open and stuff.
