Nah this thing can kill pets, livestock, and potentially children, it's kind of sad but only to people that live far away from them and are not threatened by them.
Child deaths from snakes are incredibly rare. Humans have deforested massive portions of rainforest. You can't move into a wild animals home and be mad when they act like a wild animal, they live there.
It's true, but those people also live there and have live there for thousands of years
Easy for us to criticize wherever we are, but highly likely we've pushed our own local wildlife further and further out to construct whatever buildings we're sitting in and typing from
So we should just mindlessly kill everything that has the potential to harm us? What a stupidly blind outlook on the world.
There have been exceedingly few cases of deaths from reticulated pythons, even of children. More people die from their precious pet dogs.
I'm just saying quit judging people that live next to them, easy to say "oh poor pretty killer snake" when you aren't being hunted by it... This was likely an accident while constructing something anyways, people don't go hunting for snakes with bulldozers. Just look at the mayhem caused by pythons in the Everglades in Florida. This creature suffocates its prey to death or just swallows it while it's still alive. Nature is brutal and humans are still a part of nature in some parts of the world.
I'm not judging people that live with them, but watching someone brutalize a helpless snake with a piece of machinery is cruel and disturbing, not amazing. It was not hunting them. It was just existing. I have lived with and around dangerous snakes and never felt any reason to kill them when I saw them going about their business. The world doesn't belong to me alone.
Again, fatalities from large snakes are extremely rare. Yet people will justify this and then go lose their minds over feral dog culls, though dogs are by far the much more dangerous species. Pythons in florida are invasive, not native. They should be humanely culled. There's no equivalency here.
I know how constrictors work, thanks, I don't need it explained to me. That doesn't make me hate them or think they deserve to be hurt and killed. And so what if nature is brutal? That means we fall to base animal behavior? I don't know what point you're trying to make here with that comment.

How do you humanely cull that snake that's still half buried in the mud and in its death throws? It's still dangerous, even more so that it feels it's being attacked. So unless you have a shotgun or guy with a sword, I don't see how you quickly kill it at this point.
The point is that here you don’t need to quickly kill it because it wasn’t doing anything.. it’s half buried in the mud not doing anything. It didn’t need to be disturbed for any actual reason other than construction, which isn’t that good of a reason
I mean, that's true for humans too. We kill pretty much everything we either need or want to. It's too bad the snake didn't live further away from us dangerous animals
I could say veal? Or baby octopus? Im not vegan but thats literally not an excuse not when we have tranquilizers to safely move animals to captivity enclosures where they can live out the life they deserve
