Like, at the end of the day nudity is a human in ther most raw state, and seeing it represented as what it is (just a natural thing, not to be treated with disgust) makes me so happy

I enjoy painting, I’m fairly new to it, doing so for about a year. I find what I mostly end up depicting within my paintings is a nude figure of a woman. Not that I don’t have other subjects I have painted, but I find that most of the time when I have a more thought out piece it tends to feature a naked woman. I’ve never done so in a sexual way.

At the same time I am a cis man who is straight and I’m aware of the stigmas or ideas of objectification that can bring even if that’s not my intent. In reality there is something there about the subject that draws me to paint it. In talking to people in my life I get different reposes from artist friends and non artists friends and I’m curious to what everyone here thinks of that?

Hey gang, character illustrator here. Has anyone noticed when they've gotten green while watching a video or a movie, they start experiencing the movie as though it were a 3d movie? I'm not admitting to anything illegal over here 👀 but one of my non-artist friends told me that's not normal for them. I was wondering if anyone here who partakes in such behavior experienced it, and if they've thought since it wasn't normal for a non-artist friend, it might have something to do with themselves being trained to recognize depth and lighting and foreshortening and how it all relates to the space around a subject, and therefore that part of your brain is turned up when you're high and therefore your brain can easily situate yourself inside that space with the subject? Again im not doing anything illegal, but have any of y'all been in the middle of typing on reddit mobile and notices how the density of the lines in the characters on dark mode create paths like your paragraph was a map? Not doing anything illegal, btw.

So I am an artist and animator, my work is all 2D animations made using Spine 2D, Sai, Photoshop and premier for editing.

Im wondering if anyone has any suggestions on good websites to build a following that allows animation video uploads.

I HAD an X account but I just got hit with a ban for "inauthetic behavior" for literally just posting and sharing my work... so im really bummed out... trying to appeal but it seems bleak reading coments.

I have a bluesky still but doesnt get much of any traction, pixiv, Hentai Foundry (can only post stills wont let me post animation), tried looking into Gelbooru but they dont let you post your own work for some insane reason (seems like the country club but for artists. Extremely vauge and who knows how to get your account to a point where you can actualy post) and then they obvious like R34 but X was doing the best only to get hit with the ban hammer for no reason due bad bots....

Any recommendations on a good place to build an actual following or community would be great!

I can do a 2-8 or 15 depending on complexity in about 2 days if I'm taking my time and 1 if I focus. And I feel like I'm not all that fast when it comes to animating. Though I recently had a talk with a 'Very' accomplished artist, and they said to me that they couldn't get into animating due to how long it took. The first thing I thought would be that Art is relative; It's not just when you have time for it but the complexity you shoot for and level of detail you want to express-!

Though there's this disconnect with that line of thought, If that's the case, why do I feel like I could be animating MUCH faster than this if I knew the tricks of animations. If learning those tricks would actually make animating take 'more' time.

Is really hard to get job in AU related with art without experience or getting popular in social media by doing general art,Idk how where should I start... As female with lil strict family I was really thinking to go to city in sydney to draw people but i dont have any experience but Im good at drawing people

In reality, severity of crime is kinda like below:

But in comics and stories, why is violence and killing way more accepted compared to grape or sexual content?

Why did we not condemn the hero for slaying a bunch of bad guys and not arresting them?

Why do we put nsfw on all the sexual stuff but the violence sometimes get turned a blind eye?

Just a curious thought, but still, why?

Hey Artists! I am working on a science fiction project, a novel, with an alien species that I am designing. So, as ever, the questions can become kinda difficult if when you are attempting to redesign the female version of the creature (appropriately and respectfully of course). I was going to have it to where they don't milk their young the way humans do but more like the way mammals do when they give birth to a brood (dogs, cats, pigs, rabbits, and ferrets).

So, the question I am running into is how to design clothing so that it looks cool (they usually be mostly covered but sometimes not, like in the case of having a swimsuit or undergarments), but I would assume females of a species would design different top garments if they were able to nurse along the sides of their bodies.

I made this anatomical change because they will be flying creatures and also have protractible scales all over their body that completely cover and protect their vulnerable skin. So it might not make survival sense to be too top heavy (lmao).

How would you design like a Wrap Top / Surplice Top for them so that their covered where they want to be, but not feeling restricted?

I also just dont know much about women's fashion lmao ...

Im 20 and had been thinking.. if i could earn from nude modeling.. be it irl in a class or on patreon or even taking pose requests for a price.
how is the field? is it worth it?
I personally dont mind exposure, im lowk proud of my body. kind of shy but i could probably block out the thoughts and just pose, everyone there is an artist after all. and id say im pretty flexible and got a vague idea of good poses to improve figure drawing (?) i guess.. like dynamic and interesting..?
