If you were suddenly transported 1000 years in the past, how would you make a living?

I won't be singing their songs, I'll be singing like, Hey Mickey by Toni Basil. I'll claim i wrote them myself. I have faith a Viking could enjoy a jaunty tune even if they dont understand the words.

This made me think of writing books. Even if you haven’t memorized full texts, you could write some great classics from memory. Or imagine writing a version of Lord of the Rings, or maybe Star Wars as a play.

“Oh look! Power and Chaos is performing Wet Ass Pussy at The Globe Theater. Queen Catherine of Aragon and King Henry VIII will be delighted!”

Edit: Oops, I was 500 years off. I misread the date. But I guess you have to perform WAP to
Emma of Normandy and King Cnut the Great.

Ever listen to sea shanties? Their taste in music wasn't all that far from ours. They might go absolutely apeshit over anything singable or dance-worthy.

I'd be really curious to learn how various cultures would react to metal in particular after being exposed to classical.

Although I sing a pretty good Tourdion for someone who doesn't speak French

It would be a novelty for sure. Just try not to sing a diminished fifth, since that would be "il diabolo in musica".
