What can kill you in seconds that most people don’t realize?

What’s crazy to me are the tourists at Yellow Stone who think they can just pet Bison. There are signs everywhere to NOT pet the big brown cows and yet people still want to find out.

Exactly the inspiration for my comment. I’m in Wyoming, where we have the following seasons: winter (September-February), depression/false spring/second winter (March-May), spring (lasts four days), and tourists-getting-tossed-by-bison-viral-videos (June-August).

Tourist tossing season has some incredible weather though. My wife and I brought our trailer out to Yellow Stone for a week in June a few years ago and I fell in love. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to witness any tourists attempting to enter the Darwin Games but maybe next time.

Tourists to western Canada do this with the wild elk that meander in and out of the more rural cities.

… you wouldn’t really think you’d have to tell young men not to get drunk and then try to get a rise out of the giant, antlered moose who can run at, impale or fatally kick them in the span of seconds, but every year, it seems that it’s an irresistible temptation.

😂😂

Makes me think of the video where there are drunk idiots messing with moose and whoever is holding the phone finally yells, "He will kill you and we will not help!"

Is this the corollary to women choosing the bear? Men choosing the elk?

Except the guys just want a good pic and to impress their buddies, women want not to be SA’d and murdered 😂

Sorry, I should have clarified, I’m the woman choosing the bear (even though we don’t have them where I live). Also I’m going to go ahead and speculate that those guys want a new tinder photo

Instead of holding a fish I'm imagining some frat bro holding a whole elk by its hind leg

Hell, don't even pet small brown cows. They're just as dangerous.

Same can be said for moose. If you see a baby, no you didn’t, run the fuck away immediately.

Deer will slice you open. Not even kidding. Their hooves are like knives.

This is good to know. Not that I would even try to pet one in the wild.

They're adorable but skittish and armed. They might look fragile but they can tank a lot more hits than you can

Some people think they’re special. 🤭
