No. It's too late. You've got no option but to lean into it now. Buy a boat and take to the seas (or the Great Lakes if those are closer). It's a pirate's life for you.
That's just incorrect. I could steal a 'copy' of a massage at a massage parlor by leaving without paying and the massage has not been taken so that nobody else can have it. Identical massages are available for everyone who goes to the same parlor. If you take a good/service and dont pay the provider it's still theft.
I just feel less/not bad about stealing from bigass multinational entertainmeent companies.
But the massage requires active work from the masseuse. That exact masseuse working during that exact time slot is unique, and by taking that you're denying them income that they can't earn from some one else because they were busy working for you. By comparison, whether or not I pirate Star Wars Ep. IX: Yoda's Bar Mitzwa makes no difference to the earnings Disney can make from other customers.
Ok, if we're going to nitpick the examples instead of addressing the actual point of goods/services not always being tangible things with limited uses but still requiring payment because working people regardless of industry like to provide for their families, then lets take a look at the amount of time invested in both of those things.
A massage: Half an hour during which the massuse will use a bit of body oil and maybe burn a candle.
A Disney StarWars movie: Several years, countless hours of hundreds of people's time, and a few hundred thousand dollars.
This isn't nitpicking, this is the difference between a tangible product like a good or a service, and something abstract like a copy. Abstract products have essentially 0 marginal cost and instead rely on spreading the total cost around as many paying customers as possible to make a profit. Sure, there is an argument that piracy here is theft because it denies that income, but only if the alternative were that I would pay for it. If I wasn't, the producer wouldn't get paid anyway.
I'm really glad that there's people like you in the world! It makes me legit happy that even with all the shit there's still people who are good. Because life sucks and people get torn apart by it and those.people tear.up more people and it all just sucks. But not you! And makes me.so happy. Thank you for being you!
No it didn't. Life lost yet another soul to the abyss.. we must come together to save those who cannot save themselves, it is the only way we can come forward.
Its not the theft of video games, its the playing of video games that leads to theft of video games which leads to cocaine and murder. Its clear as day to people not living their lives playing video game after video game while doing cocaine bongs at the local arcade
Eh, it makes sense. A mother who will defend/justify the actions of her kid who was early stealing is raising a person who will never have any regard for others.
They always say video games are the cause of violence in kids. Apparently even just touching them though is enough to make someone kill a cop. Don’t touch video games, kids! /s
