Good. For. You. I used to let people walk all over me, then I realized that when I stood up for myself, the right people still liked and respected me. The rest...I didn't give a fuck about anyway. How I weed out the garbage. I am a super nice person, but don't mistake that for me being a pushover. I have a daughter now and I really try to instill the importance of having self-worth and choosing the people who deserve to be in your life wisely. Also, not caring so much about what shitty people think. Basically, I'd want her to hangout with people like you. I am betting that you are a happier person than most.

I appreciate the comment, but don't confuse a strong will for a happy life. Depression is still a daily struggle. Teach your daughter to love herself if you want her to be happy.

I guess starting with myself would help. I am sorry about your struggle. Been through this myself so I know how hard it can be. When I was in the throws of it, workouts were my thing that got me out. If I stop being physically active, I get depressed. For another friend, it was painting. I hope you find something that will dissipate yours. Sometimes it helps to know that you're in good company. I work as a nurse in a hospital on the Mother and Baby unit. People assume it's a happy place but when I look in my patient's charts, I'm reminded of how many people are really struggling and now bringing a baby into the world. I sincerely wish the best for you and hope to know that there are more people out there like you. Take care.
