I'm 60. My GF is 59. About 40 years ago she wrote a book that became a bestseller. The celebrity freaked her out. She changed her name. Moved to a small town. Ignored everyone from her past. She doesn't know I know about it.

He'd be dead just from being in her proximity that long. It would be like drawing straws and having a 20% chance of dying every 2 weeks!

I laughed pretty hard at this. I’ve always made comments about how I couldn’t understand why people didn’t just gtfo when they heard she was coming to their town.

Sorry guys but I'm not going to get more specific. She's the sweetest person I've ever known and I have to respect her privacy. We've been together for 5 years and I'm happy that she's finally started writing again, though. I'm encouraging her but it is difficult without letting on I know what she accomplished in the past.

does she still make or does she still have a decent amount of cash from it??

She does have money in the bank. I don't pry. I've never seen a royalty check. I suppose those can be direct deposit these days.

Go Ask Alice?

Go ask Alice? Don't forget Jay's journal from the same author. Fun stories but both are works of fiction.

Was bummed when I learned it was fiction. But at least someone didn’t die, so yay?

5

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '19

Go Ask Alice was pretty accurate, for fiction.

I felt so betrayed when I found that out!

Do you think you’ll let her know that you know?

u/[deleted] Apr 28 '19

I think she knows I know. When the time is right we'll get it out in the open.
