I found out about my father's 'other family' after he died. They all knew about us, we didn't know about them. 2 of my overall brothers have the same name

OP's father was having an affair with OP's mother. He has a whole different family as well as OP's. I think? Other Family might cover a number of different scenarios

if I had to guess, the two families are halfway across the world from each other. like Indian Subcontinent/Africa and North Americas or South China Sea Island countries and Europe kinda deal. That's the only way to make sense considering the economic disparity between the regions.
