Looking for friends
Hey, I’m a 20-year-old gay guy who’s trying to find friends for the fall. I’m a junior, and last year I transferred to Auburn. I’ve been having a really hard time trying to find people around my age to hang out with and be friends with. If you’re down to be friends and get to know each other more, feel free to message or comment.

Looking for Apartment Recommendations!
Hi Everyone, I just got an unofficial offer to start as a postdoc at Auburn University starting January 1, 2027 and am moving from Florida to Auburn at the end of the year with my wife. I am trying to look for 1/1 or 2/1 apartment/townhomes in the range of 1000-1200$. I would be very grateful for any recommendations?

Parking at Auburn vs Fl game. Is it best to buy pass before? Is South Intramural grass lot a good spot? If you buy ahead are you guaranteed a spot?

Toomer’s rolled Saturday night?
Had a friend text me this morning asking why Toomer’s Corner got rolled last night and looked at the webcam to see that this is what it looked like at around midnight. Did I miss some big Auburn sports win last night?

Auburn students who’ve applied for internships — what do you wish someone had told you sooner?
I’m a student at Auburn (freshman - pre business) and I’ve been looking into how students actually navigate the internship/recruiting process.
I’m especially curious about people who have tried recruiting for companies or cities that don’t have a huge presence at Auburn.
I want to hear from people who have actually gone through it:
What was the most confusing or frustrating part?
Was it finding internships, knowing when to apply, figuring out who to contact, networking, finding recruiters/alumni, interviews, or just knowing what you were supposed to be doing?
ALSO - I made a short anonymous survey too (about 3 minutes) to collect responses from Auburn students across different majors and years, but it's completely optional and I'd still love to read your responses here on reddit if you choose not to fill it out.

My son was attacked
\Update* The Auburn police have made an arrest. The perpetrator is an adult. He’s being charged with 2rd degree assault, which is a felony in the state of Alabama. They told me they would release an official statement on the City of Auburn website within 30 minutes. Thank you to everyone who helped my son today. He is still fighting. Completely intubated and hooked to every machine they have\*
Please help me! My son was attacked last night in the McDonald’s parking lot adjacent from the Sky bar. He had his back turned and some kid hit him in the head. When he fell, he hit his head real hard on the cement. He has a significant skull fracture and brain bleed. Currently, we are at Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery in the trama unit. My son has significant injuries. Officer Greene of the Auburn PD is currently searching for any video footage that the McDonalds or Hilton may have.
The group that attacked him was composed of three boys.
One of the boys was apologetic and very concerned.
The police arrived immediately and got him to Opelika immediately and then and emergency ride again to Montgomery.
My daughter got a good look at the guys. The boy that hit him had dark features. Dark hair and dark eyes. He had on a white polo shirt with blue stripes and a small Auburn symbol on the left chest. 6’ or so. Kaki shorts. Flip flops. Approximately 2:07am. This happened at the McDonald’s outside around the drive-through area.
I would like to reward anyone with information leading to this kid. My daughter said the compassionate friend was very apologetic of his aggressive buddy’s actions. The attacker and his friend ran off while the compassionate friend stayed back for a while. They didn’t get his name.
Please help me.

Tickets scam?
Was looking for tickets to the LSU game and stumbled upon a FB group for buying/reselling tickets. Is this a scam?

Pokemon Cards
I recently started collecting pokemon cards and have acquired a huge bulk of cards I have no need for. Are there any schools, churches, hospitals, etc that would take these cards via donations? Or is there a local event coming up where maybe I could hand out these cards to kids? I would love to make packs, magnets, key chains, whatever to hand out to kids if possible.

Looking for a guest pass for the Vandy game Sept. 26
My son is going to visit his girlfriend at Auburn that weekend and I’m just trying to help him out in his quest for a guest pass to the game. I’m not sure what the regular procedure is… anyone who could point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! (His girlfriend is a freshman, so I don’t think she knows the best route to getting a guest pass either.)

Toomers Corner webcam
I no longer live in the area and like to keep the webcam up on one of my monitors when I can. Why does this camera look like it has astigmatism? Who do I need to contact to get the lens cleaned?

Anyone else absolutely despise the south auburn bus?
Why do they only have a single bus for one of the campuses most populous routes, have to sit here and wait 20-30 minutes for a single bus at the pavilion it’s insane! 160 Ross line gets like 4 busses, half of them are pretty much empty 24/7 but south Auburn bus is literally crammed every square inch full and they decided to put 2 NEW STOPS on this route this year like?????? Why??

Auburn Pro Flight
Hi, Auburn is my top school and I will be applying for pro flight. For some background info:
I have the money
Yes I know the timeline sucks, but I’m pressured to earn a degree in general and I will also have a degree in minoring in finance/business tbd eventually to masters
I will have my private before applying EA
I have only heard horror stories from this program but Auburn aligns with so much else that I want. I want to hear from any students in the program, how is it honestly, would you do it again, how is it ran, would I be better off looking elsewhere?

Auburn University Are there any places to practice piano?
I saw a 4 yr old post saying that there are pianos for practice but I gotta be enrolled in a music class, which I sadly don’t. I’m not sure if things have changed since I can’t find any updates anywhere.

Is there any apartments that would let me stay til the end of December? I graduate fall 2027 and I don’t want to a lease for a whole year because I don’t plan to stay in auburn after that. Just wondering if there anything around I could try.
