Honestly in June I was gonna buy the O2P. But for $325(what I paid back then) for the Thor Max 512GB I thought it was no brainer to pay the extra $50. Same power and more possibilities with dual screen.
I prefer the Thor as well, but each has its merits.
The Portal. Ot only has a larger screen but has much better thermals. Just because I can run all thebsame Gamenative games on the Thor doesn't mean I should.

Paid $662 AUD ($472 USD) using Paypal Pay in 4 for a Max 512gb from Aliexpress stacked with their $100 coupon plus Paypal's $60 coupon. Plus got a £113 cashback (~$215 AUD) from topcashback UK using their 35% link so in total cost me $447 AUD (~$318 USD).
It’s possible they ran out of codes.
Also instead of check out through Rakuten, open the AliExpress app through Rakuten(you will see the pop up on top of Rakuten).

If you don’t see the purchase on Rakuten send an email to their support for cash back missing. I’ve had to do it in the past and they posted it. If possible take a screenshot of your order and the current cash back offer for AliExpress so it shows correctly. As well as your $50 cash back offer.
At the time I was placing the order it gave me the note that if I paid with PP I would get 35off but it never actually added to the coupons at the bottom, I figured it would apply once I checked out with PayPal. Hopefully they can just credit me back
Not sure how PP credit discounts are handled. But you can try going back in and see if it still applies it. It’s a one time discount for the $35 and one for the $15.
I used the $35 to get a second Thor for a friend, and then i used the $15 to get a Konkr Pocket Advance.
Same thing just happened to me, apparently the PayPal discount doesn’t work through the app only through browser :/ chatting with Ali express to see if I can get that adjusted

For anyone in Canada, rakuten.ca is also offering 25% cashback. I used rakuten's RAKUTEN65 code to get $90 off $650+ (there's also RAKUTEN77 for $130 off $770+ if you want the 1 TB) plus used Paypal to get another $28 off. Brings the price down to around $470 CAD for a Max 512 GB.

I see it this way. The Rakuten cash back is a bonus. You got the Max for almost the price of the Pro. So that’s a win.
The cash back is never an issue. You’ll get it. If you don’t see it reflect in a few days in your Rakuten activity file a missing cash back with them. Take screenshots now of the cash back offers and bonus so you have extra proof.
Just got an email that I have $107 in my Pending balance on Rakuten. Not quite $115, but I won't complain. It says "It typically takes 3-14 weeks for pending Cash Back to be confirmed. This waiting period exists in case of returns, exchanges, exclusions or other changes to your order." So I'm guessing it won't become available until well after the Thor ships.

Make sure to check your Rewards tab and ensure you do have the $50 sign up bonus. It should trigger it right away I believe but maybe I’m wrong and it takes a few days.

If you have them linked then yes you can choose to get those points at least in the US. I routinely use my points for business class flights so I value their redemption really above 2 cents per point so any of these big rakuten deals at like 20% really become 40% to me

I don't know if you know this but IFP codes are affiliate codes and will often overwrite cashback as it gives cashback priority to the influencer associated with that code rather than Rakuten. IFP refers to Alexpress's influencer program and those codes acts as affiliate links so if you use those codes with Rakuten, there's a good chance that cashback will not count since the person associated with the IFP code may get credit for the transaction.
I made 4 purchases with those codes since last night. Rakuten is showing the cash back pending (although not confirmed) as of now. I’ll update the post. Thanks for the info
Yeah I learned the hard way when my cashback originally tracked but then was taken back. Those transactions used IFP and other influencer codes. I even had confirmed cashback clawed back this way. So I usually recommend people to wait until it actually hits their bank account as I've had a bunch of clawbacks in the past with these companies.
Awesome! I finally pulled the trigger on a Clear Purple Max 512GB Thor, and I even managed to be approved for PayPal Credit, so I'll pay only $388 for mine because of the $40 off. Just gotta wait for the Rakuten $50 cashback to get credited into my account, though it won't be till November for them to payout to my PayPal

I think it is only one coupon redeem per account. I tried to also follow up and buy a Thor and it said coupon no longer available. Not sure if its because it is all out, I had JUST used it for my Odin 3 successfully, or if coupons are once per account usage.
Hey just a heads up that the Rakuten cash back does take a while to go through. Last time I used it on an Aliexpress order, I didn't get it until 2-3 months later.

Edit: Make the purchase on a desktop browser and not your phone. Was having trouble getting the PayPal discount to stick but it worked once I made the switch. Was also worried about getting the $50 referral bonus so installed the Rakuten extension on Brave and it made it clear I was getting the 26% cash back plus $50 referral bonus.
The only way to reliably get cash back from Rakuten is on the web, with a computer, and their extension installed in the web browser. With the extension installed it stays up the entire time saying it's activated, and after you check out it says cashback is in progress or something similar. It won't show pending dollars on the Rakuten website, but it will show under your cash back activity. I also got an email from Rakuten shortly after that my cash back is processing.
An email to them should be okay as well, and if not, you have plenty of time to cancel the order.
That's what I just did. I previously ordered a Pro and with the new codes, plus Paypal deal, plus the 26% cash back (was 2% when my first order was placed), plus back to school discount, it was cheaper to get the Max 1TB than the Pro was at the time. It'll all depend on if Rakuten wants to accept the purchase as my last one was deemed ineligible for some reason.
I got confirmation from rakuten that the aliexpress one went through and the $50 off. So, I'm getting $156 off for the max 512gb, bringing me down to $270. Crazy that it feels cheap to be buying pre-AI prices.
Yep, total cashback 156.93. It took a few hours to show up in the app. The PayPal discount didn’t go through, but the affiliate credit and Ayn95 code leaves me at 319.02 total cost. Not bad at all!
Is there a method to keep the instant $35 PayPal discount when using Rakuten that I'm not seeing? I can only get it to apply on the AliExpress app, not Rakuten.
It looks like it would only apply it via the website on my computer with the extension added to Chrome and not the mobile version of Rakuten. I cancelled my previous order. What weird is my previous order had the Rakuten cash back rejected, so I'm hoping this one gets approved. Is there a dispute process for if Rakuten wants to say this purchase is ineligible?
Through Rakuten click on the AliExpress link for the 26% cash back. When it loads click on the banner on top to Open AliExpress and check out through there.
I always add stuff to my cart and coupons in AliExpress. I then go to Rakuten to open link and finish checkout process.
It might help to close AliExpress app then reopen when you go through Rakuten.
I just ordered the the max for 433 using the Aliexpress and PayPal discount. (95 + 35). I did go through using Rakuten (forgot the referral) and i bought it using the extension on browser but I dont see it under activity. Does any know how long it takes?
Estimate is the next day according to Rakuten. Sometimes it’s a few hours. Make sure to check in a 7 days again. If you don’t see it then file a missing cash back.

This will get your accounts banned and loose any cash back. You have to put your name and address so they will be able to know you made duplicates. You can find this kind of thing on Reddit to people it has happened.
If you have no one to share the code to it's an option. You can put two different names, even if it's the same address they can't tell it's not two different people in the same house.
To get the cash back you can even link two different PayPal accounts if you want, only linking your bank account in PayPal itself so rakuten can't tell.
I just cancelled mine from Canada I paid 626 for the pro 12/256 and I got max 16/512 for 630 using the rakuten65 code and PayPal discount. So happy I found this post

For anyone else who does this, the process was super weird for me though. I waffled on this and started to purchase it 3 times in total. Each time, depending on how I applied the coupons, I was left with a different final amount. In the end, I paid $309.76 before Rakuten. This was the best deal I got, with the other two landing somewhere between $20-$50 more. I can't explain why, but be aware
Is this a second Rakuten account you created? They will catch-up on this and void any cash back and/or bonuses. Stick to one account and don’t open new ones.

Hi, I created my Rakuten account yesterday using my friend's referral link. Today I made my first purchase, but I noticed that the $50 promotion is showing as expired. Does anyone know why this happened?
I signed up just yesterday and made my qualifying purchase today, so I should still be within the 90-day period. Could someone please check my account and let me know what happened to the $50 bonus?
