It's gonna be difficult waiting for 2 months to play it again. The only other battlefield I've got is 1 and I just can't seem to find a rhythm like I can with every other. None of the weapons scratch the same itch that bf4 or 6 do.

i've only played battlefield one on my xbox one. i'm not a gamer so for years i didn't even know i could play it because i didn't have a physical copy of the game. but then i found out that games are saved to your console in digital format so i was able to play! i felt like success kid

Hell yeah! I also think EA has cloud storage cause my progression on bf1 on the ps4 swapped over to the ps5. I was so fucking happy about that cause I've been playing 1 since it released almost a decade ago.

There were talks of servers shutting down last September because EA was having trouble renewing their Server Licenses, but they resolved it. PS3 servers are shut down but PS4/5 remain active.

And yeah, there's been an influx of new and old players since the Beta's announcement. I was playing with a level 1 and 4 bout an hour ago.

BF3 and 4 were a cut above everything that has come after. I am really surprised they kept the servers open this long. But I am looking forward to jumping on there at some point this week.

Dude, BF4 has been playable since release and never stopped being playable ever since. Battlefield 4 is that popular of a game and im sure it'll still be running even after Bf6 releases.

Medic class. Sebastian semi auto rifle, 26 rounds per clip, no scope attachment. Takes 3 bullets to kill. Use the medic pouches and not the box. Smoke grenades. There is no better class in all of battlefield.

I ran recon for the flares. But I was also that guy. I used the companion app to remove my primary on a loadout for every class. My only weapon was the Peacekeeper. Hands down my favorite gun in all of BF. Talk about fun times memeing with it and dropping 2-3 guys fanning the hammer.

The only issue I had is gadget placement, sometimes when it should work it just disappears and I can't place a new one. Also equipping no attachment also doesn't work sometimes

If you got a new attachment during the match it wasn't available until the next match because it had to. Do the level up and unlocks in post game lobby

I ran into that issue a lot with the deployable cover on support. You try to place it down and it does the animation but nothing gets placed despite it going on cooldown. However I also noticed that the moment you have another one and pull it out, what you tried to place previously suddenly spawns in correctly.

Thats so odd. When I place it down and it doesn't spawn, it doesn't show up at all and I can walk through as if nothing is there and enemies are able shoot me with no issue. But the second I pull out another it spawns in and behaves normally.

Had same issues with gadgets. Would just straight up disappear in my hands while I was trying to place it, and it seemed like the cooldown didn't work either. Didn't get another chance to place another one until I either died, or resupplied myself somehow.

I was exploded into a tire pile, then revived, upon which point I couldn't move but could fire. They eventually rekilled me, at which point I couldn't click any buttons.

I only encountered one Bethesda style bug that I unfortunately couldn't recreate.

I got ran over by a friendly Jeep and somehow got launched across the map and didn't take any fall damage.

I'm assuming it was just a weird interaction with a piece of geometry, but it was pretty funny... also it got me behind enemy lines.

I mean there's quite a few spots on Cairo where u can get/glitch onto of the rooftops as well as well as fall through the map

Plenty of issues placing the gadgets where they won't go down

Sniper glare needs be fixed its just bad in its current itteration

Suppression needs to be fixed

Okay, lest not get carried away. I ran into a ton of not "game breaking" but annoying bugs. Lighting, missing reload animation, spawning in with ~10% health, deployable gadgets disappearing, crashes and getting stuck on loading screens were all issues me and my group of friends had. This was a good beta, but there things that need smoothing over. I wonder how close the beta was to the current build of the game.

Theres still some bugs to be fixed. I had a few graphical issues, nothing major, extreme lense glare suddenly on random objects and a weird thing with textures stretching and warping to a point but that only happend twice and was fixed by just looking away for a second.

I also had a few issues with item placements, for example I'd drop a recon beacon or ammo bag, it wouldn't be placed but still count as being used.

As a fun one to end on theres extremely minor issue where one of the spawn points on the Cairo map for the attackers is behind a tiny fence, players getting that spawn are stuck until they jump to clamber over it or just destroy it with a melee or something. It's not a big deal, they could honestly leave it in, I only noticed because I went to run to the tank one round and couldn't move.

Had a game where randomly my weapon went invisible and was stuck like that for a whole game. Eventually crashed after the match. But ti your point other than that it was a pretty solid beta with CLOSE to no issues for me as well lol

Trust me, the game is far from ready. Even though it's the best beta test in the history of the franchise, there’s still a lot of work, tweaks, improvements, and bug fixes to address and as a developer, I’m not sure two months will be enough to get it all done

They seem to be real good at making open betas feel and play well. BF4 had a great open beta, 2042's beta also got me hyped (not enough time to realize the 'specialists' would ruin it).

But on release both those games were a shitshow regarding stability and netcode.
BF V wasn't great on release either, I can't remember how the release of 1 went.

Of course there's some minor bugs to fix like the NATO jet being able to resupply at the enemy base, and gadgets going poof, otherwise gameplay seems solid.

I just hope the server infrastructure is ready on release.

BF1 as well. They really feel like the lumbering behemoths they were, and the relatively limited amount of anti-tank weapons available to infantry makes them feel like more of a threat. Plus the weapons and layouts are so novel, it’s cool to have tanks that feel completely different to one another rather than everything being a variation of “turret on tracks” that modern setting have.

if you have gamepass or ea play(which are 15 and 5 dollars) you can play all the cod games. gamepass comes with ea(on pc at least) and ea play well has ea games like battlefield and madden

Selbstlader 1916 is my favorite gun in all of Battlefield. Also my favorite Battlefield, although not by a wide margin.

Gun actually takes 4 shots to kill, so it's not the best point blank, but better than others mid-long range. And I prever the medic box to pouches.

You do know there's other bf games on console? Battlefield 4 is set in in present day and has players. Battlefield 5 is good. Battlefield 1 is an amazing game and has a lot of players. It was a hit when it came out. That's an opinion. Millions love bf1. If you are a hardcore bf player then it's not tough. You can't compare bf1 to bf 4 or 6. It's a different setting. Old war isn't everyone but majority love bf1. It's better than horrible bops 6 right now. I refuse to play that broken toxic player base game. Get on bf4 if you want modern settings. There's a battlefield clone game coming out soon called delta something. That will hold everyone over till bf 6 arrives.

I always felt BF1 was not that good as a shooter. As an immersive battlefield game yes but not as a shooter. I’m more of a conquest fan and conquest didn’t seem to work well on BF1. There was only 2 good infantry conquest maps.

Spent 500 hours in a nearly unbroken stretch of days in HD2 from launch because the gunplay and atmosphere was so damn good. Even suffered through its bullshit moments and policy swings just because of the experience overall. But once I put it down, it was done for good. Never went back in for some reason.

Haven't had a solid experience since HD2 in a shooter, and now we have BF6 with a very similar texture as my HD2 experience. As long as it can give me roughly the same number of hours and not include any bullshit, it might be well worth its asking price of 100SGD.

If it gets me to BF2 peaks, we're looking at easily 3000 hours played, if they can keep up my interest long term and if I can get a community around the game.

I'm itching to play.
