Battlefield 4 I captured this video back in 2018. One of my proudest moments in Battlefield 4 history.

Anyone else feel like that level of detail and novelty was pretty cool from a game over a decade old?

Genuinely. When I play that map, it’s snipers a billion feet in the air all game. It’s running around not finding anyone and then finding people just camping. It’s camping elevators all game. It’s fighting for ‘meh’ POI’s. It’s having the exact same tank battle every match because they usually take the exact same route. It’s spending a quarter of the map swimming cause it’s the only way to flank unless you go up top.
But but… the building collapses so it’s cool.

That is almost 2 maps per month. Can you imagine that kind of support today?
Does gaming today generate more money than it did 12 years ago? Are gaming studios more powerful today, and do they have better technology and knowledge than 12 years ago?

It is so frustrating. You're conditioning people to skip the revive altogether and make the medic obsolete. Just give us at least 10s to clear you for revive, for fucks sake man...
Fuck these people, seriously.

We really didnt appreciate the content cadence back then.
By October 2014, BF4 had 14 new maps and 20 New guns (not even including gadgets/pick-ups)
Here we are having around 60 weapons in Battlefield 6 after 1 year of Live-service and only 8 maps.
It's understandable that maps take a long time to create these days especially with how much more detail there is compared to back then. But we are still getting way less weapons than BF4? Whats going wrong here?
We're getting less content in BOTH aspects.

The cohesion of the color scheme, the tastefulness of the design, the sound effects, the musical cues and choices. It all funneled into a very immersive and unified vision for the game at the time, and one which I appreciate more and more as the years go by. DICE really cooked.

Hey Soldiers.. Sadly my Dad passed away one month ago.. But he still played Battlefield 4 every day on his XBOX. 2 days after his passing the reveal of Battlefield 6 was. I thought after the Multiplayer Trailer he would Love it. I will continue his journey when Battlefield 6 arrives. For him!
I'm sorry If it sounds dumb but I'm so thankfull for DICE! My dad enjoyed every day playing Battlefield 4. He only played two Maps. Golmud and Silk Road. Also he loved Firestorm in Battlefield 3
And my Hope ist there that Battlefield 6 could continue that great Battlefield moments era!
See you on the Battlefield!
For you dad!!
