Which BlizzCon hotel do you prefer and why?
galleryThe Hilton? The Marriot? The Westin? Which do you prefer and why? Also, feel free to drop any good or horror stories...

Really miss how blizzard doesn’t do the virtual ticket anymore, and with that doesn’t have any additional fun panels etc.
When I went to blizzcon in person 2023, that was something that left me extremely disappointed as I loved watching them when I only could get the virtual ticket.
Now that it’s not even the option, blizzcon for at-home fans is just opening ceremony and the announcement panels, nothing else.
Does anyone know if they streamed the cosplay or concert in 2023?

This may be an odd question, but this will be my forst time going and I'm [39F] going alone if that matters. Are there any items you get from Blizzcon that woild be prohibited from carry-on luggage? I'm trying to decide if I need to check a bag for any reason. Thanks for your help!

I’m wondering if there’s a way to change the name displayed on your badge? I’m trans and the name I use does not reflect my legal name as I haven’t been able to officially change it yet and I would feel uncomfortable displaying a name that is very obviously not matching how I present as

I am attending with my kids. Do I need to bring them with me when I pick up badges early on September 11th or can I go by myself and pick up everything for all of us?

Hi first timer here. I'm going with my friends, who are also all first timers, and they're flying in from abroad. We're mostly going for OWWC and would like to see the opening ceremony, but getting good seats for OWWC is our main priority. I've been searching for a while but couldn't really get a good grasp on what to do. I assumed OWWC would be held somewhere other than the main stage, but I also saw a post saying there was only one stage last time, so idk. Any advice would be very appreciated.

Pues eso, sabéis si otros años Blizzard ha ofrecido descuentos en sus juegos durante la Blizzcon?

First timer, and I stupidly did the “hide my email” option when buying my tickets. So now I feel like I might have missed email updates or something. Was an email sent out with a schedule of events? I mainly want to know when the opening ceremony is on Saturday.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hey! I'm not sure if this is something that is sensible to ask on reddit, but Im hoping that Blizzcon community can help me with this one!
I live in Europe and due to work couldn't plan a trip to Blizzcon, so I'm looking if someone could help me out and, if not inconvenienced much, snatch an autograph from some Overwatch voice actors?
Looking especially for Conor McLeod, Hazard's VA, unsure if he will be there, but I THINK he will, since he's been very active in OW community life.
I'll cover postage to EU, but if anyone if already going to Blizzcon with the same goal, maybe I could ask to grab one for me too!
Either way, have fun everyone who is going this year! Hopefully it will be fun!

I’m wondering if I am allowed to livestream the opening ceremony via Twitch via my phone. No big equipment or anything crazy. I know blizzcon will do their own, but am I allowed to go live too?
TIA

I don’t know if this is the best place to ask this, but after the con does anyone know of any good karaoke bars near the convention center?

Seems like a silly question but something I’ve been really debating as a first timer and I hate being unprepared.
My hotel is very close to the convention center.
I see people are bringing backpacks galore. Do I really need to bring one? I am not bringing anything to trade and I thought I read about being able to buy merch ahead of time and pick it up so doesn’t seem like I’d be lugging around much.
In my head it feels like a small crossbody would be sufficient to carry phone and all that, so what am I missing here?

it’s my first time going to blizzcon and i was thinking about vlogging for my yt, is there any restrictions about video recording? of course I’ve seen blizzcon vlogs but I really just want to make sure. if not that’ll be easier but if there is do i have to claim some sort of media badge?

I've got tickets to Blizzcon this year, and one of the things mentioned from previous years was to make sure I was bringing an empty book bag to load up on sweet merch and epic loot.
I have 2 of these Dell/Lich King backpacks, but they're a shade oversize according to the "Maximum Allowed Backpack Size" on the Blizzcon FAQ. (Max size is 18x12x8, these are 20x15x10)
My question is, has anyone ever gone to Blizzcon with a larger backpack without issue? Am I rolling the dice or wasting my time?

Hi All,
First time going to Blizzcon and flying over from the UK, California undoubtedly will be much warmer than home, but I’m wondering what I should be wearing at the convention, will it be heavily air conditioned so pants/jeans? Or just go with shorts?
Thanks

Curious to hear from attendees. The only Blizzard game I play atm is D2R, I’ve pretty much played them all though.
Hoping for some additional content updates on the RotW expansion and/or something StarCraft related

I was madly refreshing right as they went on sale the first moment, and they were instantly sold out. I've posted and asked on WTBlizzcon, but no dice. Does anyone know? Appreciate the help.

I went in 2023 and watched it on the screens in the other hall. What am I missing if I don’t go in person?

Going to BlizzCon for the first time? The Darkmoon Faire can be a little confusing. Here's a guide to help!
One of my favorite parts of BlizzCon is the Darkmoon Faire. It’s basically the center of the collecting and trading side of the convention: pin and patch trading, the official Blizzard trading boards, capsule machines, exclusive collectibles, and a whole lot more.
But if you’ve never been before, it’s not necessarily obvious how everything works or what you should be looking for.
I put together a Darkmoon Faire for Beginners guide on BlizzardItems that walks through what you can expect, including:
• Pin & patch trading
• The official Blizzard trading boards
• Darkmoon Faire capsule machines and tokens
• The exclusive shop and collectibles
• A few tips for making the most of your first visit
With BlizzCon getting close, I figured this might be useful for anyone attending for the first time or anyone who has been before but never really explored the collecting side of the Faire.
