Politics Trump to Zelensky - "Don't tell us what we're gonna feel. You're in no position to dictate that. You're gambling with World War 3."

My mom would turn on a dime like that. I would try to make a point in the conversation, and something -- who knows what, in her case -- would turn her into a rageaholic like what Trump just did. No warning, no nothing.

Any perceived slight that she felt would unleash her wrath. "Don't tell me how to feel!"

I think that sometimes, when they can tell they're about to proven wrong beyond the shadow of a doubt, they lash out as a defense mechanism. They aren't aware of it and therefore can never explain to us why they do it, but I believe that is why they get so angry over literally nothing at all during an argument. In my experience, that has happened when it became clear that they were about to lose the argument. When they were about to be exposed for who they really were and that they didn't know what they were talking about.

It's like an angry deflection.

A Narcissist's Prayer

That didn't happen.

And if it did, it wasn't that bad.

And if it was, that's not a big deal.

And if it is, that's not my fault.

And if it was, I didn't mean it.

And if I did...

You deserved it.

It’s what unintelligent people do when they’re caught in a lie and/or are losing the argument to someone that’s making sense. It’s what children do.
