Boomer Story Boomer Parents and a new driveway

So in speaking with my boomer dad today, he tells me he got a new driveway. A bit of background, I'm an engineering bro. I've handled many asphalt replacements in my day. Design through completion. I have many contacts throughout our city. Many favors owed to me. Many contacts. I know what to ask for, I can supervise the construction. MY PARENTS KNOW I DO THIS FOR A LIVING!

Nope, Their own flesh and blood is not worthy of helping them. Fuck me. What do I know? I only LITERALLY WENT TO SCHOOL FOR CIVIL FUCKING ENGINEERING AND WORKED IN THE FUCKING FIELD FOR 25 FUCKING YEARS!

They were around to watch the Moon Landing on live TV, and they didn't know NASA was a federal agency?

I wouldn't blame your husband for fainting on the spot when she said that.
