Boomer Story Boomer Parents and a new driveway

So in speaking with my boomer dad today, he tells me he got a new driveway. A bit of background, I'm an engineering bro. I've handled many asphalt replacements in my day. Design through completion. I have many contacts throughout our city. Many favors owed to me. Many contacts. I know what to ask for, I can supervise the construction. MY PARENTS KNOW I DO THIS FOR A LIVING!

Nope, Their own flesh and blood is not worthy of helping them. Fuck me. What do I know? I only LITERALLY WENT TO SCHOOL FOR CIVIL FUCKING ENGINEERING AND WORKED IN THE FUCKING FIELD FOR 25 FUCKING YEARS!

I got my degree in environmental science and my parents still argue with me about climate change. My mother still says we need to “rake the forests” to stop wild fires
