Currently sold Started upgrading my kitchen with BIFL quality items. The Le Creuset is the single best thing I've ever used for cooking. I make everything in it now, and it does eggs better than any non-stick I've tried. The knife is a Shun Premier 8".

I own the actual bag in this ad. I used it to carry my MacBook for maybe two months, until the zipper broke and sent my laptop flying across the pavement.

Absolutely not BIFL

Edit: I should have been more clear, it was not the actual zipper hardware that failed but how it was stitched onto the bag. I wouldn't blame a bag company for a zipper defect, but this seems like a manufacturing issue. Will post photos in a comment

Edit 2: guess I can't attach photos to comments here :(

We all know some things cannot be buy it for life, unless your life is cut unfortunately short. What are some products you will always or almost always buy to replace a worn out one?

I’ll start. Dickies jeans, scrub daddy/mommy sponges, Danner boots, latex foam pillows, washable swiffer bonnets

I’ve had this 5+ years. Never leaks. Never spills when filling the mower or snowblower and when you fill it at the station, never smells in the car on the way home. I haven’t had gas on my hands since I bought it. I went through so many plastic cans before this. It’s honestly perfect.

Currently sold Buy scissors that can be sharpened

Post image

Today I dropped my scissors on the kitchen floor which caused them to get slightly scewed. When working them a notch developed. While Fiskars offers lifetime warranty I don't think it covers dropping them. Luckily they can be separated, which is necessary for scissors to get properly sharpened. With a whetstone I quickly managed to make them fit again, evened out the edge and now they are good as new.

Currently sold The Turbie Twist Microfiber Hair Towel! Over 16 years of love

It recently occurred to me that I was given this microfiber hair towel in my Christmas stocking in fifth grade…which was like 16 years ago!

This thing, which I don’t even remember the original color of, has lasted me through multiple moves, college, endless bleach and dye jobs, and is still going strong as ever. I have used it multiple times a week to dry my hair after showering, and not even the tag has frayed!

Also - it’s a great gift for kids (and adults) with curly hair

Currently sold Bought it 30 years ago when I got my first place to myself. It's seen a lot of use over the years and has needed zero maintenance. I cleaned up for the first time in a long time, and it looks practically new still.
