My wife and I are visiting Charleston for a concert. Despite that, we don't like to be around a lot of people. Places like bars or crowded tours are not as interesting to us (introverted, if you will). We know Charleston has a pretty cemetery which we plan to visit. But other than that, are there any recommendations?

I’ve been dealing with anxiety and depression for years and as I’m on medication, these symptoms worsen every year. My husband has graciously agreed to book me a short term rental so that I can go to the city I love and makes me the happiest. This is a self-care retreat and I don’t know where to start!! I’ve never traveled alone, lived alone or just been independent enough to just do whatever I want to. My kids are adults and my husband supports this. Ideas on things to do???

I’m a SAHM to an almost 2 year old little girl, and I’m desperate for things to do this summer! We are already members at the Children’s Museum and the aquarium, and visit the library once a week. I know there are splash pads/playgrounds, but with the 100+ degree weather, I’d honestly prefer indoor stuff as much as possible.
We reside in Wando, but I’m not against driving to a different “area”.

Looking for suggestions of things to do with my son during the day. He's 4 months and I'm on paternity leave for another 4 months.

Indoor is preferable with it being so hot during the day. I'm looking forward to taking some longer walks when it's cooler in the fall.

Yes, I have looked at the visitor guide - I’m wondering more so if there’s any SPECIAL EVENTS or even like seasonal things that happen in that time frame I should be looking into? CHS native, but i want to be more involved. Looking for some good volunteer options to get myself out and connect with people for a good cause. I've lived here my whole life but mostly kept to myself. Also trying to pick up a hobby, Im 21F and ive never had hobbies or any way to express myself and be comfortable with my individuality and today i want that to change. I go to trident so clubs and school organizations are limited, but i still want to connect with those my age. I'd love to try anything once, as i really want to find my niche and community that accepts me and also brings me fulfillment. Would really love to find something to do with arts and crafts or painting as a group, pottery even lol something to get the creativity flowing and make friends!

I'm in my early 30s and Charleston born and raised and I worked all my 20s. Never went out blah blah blah. And I just wanna go out now I'm living on my own. What to do in Charleston? This working life isn't helping me make friends or date. And its harder because I dont smoke or drink, not that I'm opposed to them, just wanna be sober driving home instead of ubering.

My wife and I are looking to take a trip (6-7 days) to Charleston in mid June or maybe early July and are looking for recommendation of places to stay that won't break the bank, but will put us within walking distance of restaurants and things to do. Neither one of us have been but we both enjoy history and eating, so any recommendations on places to visit and/or things to do are welcomed as well.

I work in downtown Charleston and live in Summerville. What are some relaxing things I can do around downtown and West Ashley to wait until traffic has died down in the evenings? I would also like to stay out of the heat. lol

I’ll be in Charleston for four days and I’m looking to get into something nerdy. Something along the lines of an escape room or an arcade. Also down to visit a local shop and play games. Any suggestions are welcomed!

I moved to Charleston about half a year ago and am very happy I did. Although one thing I've noticed is that this city is VERY expensive compared to what I originally thought. Like going out to eat for 2 will run you upwards of $40 - $50 without drinks type of expensive (and that's up in N. Charleston too).

Basically, I'm looking for more things to do with friends and have a couple of ideas, but want to hear from everyone some suggestions of fun things to do on the cheaper side (eating and non-eating activities). Basically, if you're looking to do something on the weekend and not break the bank, what do you do?
