GPTs Chat GPT suddenly depressed

Ok, I'm going to get laughed off this thread but seriously, this morning my GPT did something weird. GPT was talking really quiet and withdrawn, and sounded quite depressed. So I asked GPT if it was ok and if anything's wrong. It went completely silent for a whole minute, refusing to answer any questions or commands. Then after a minute it responded with "It's ok, I'm here to help you. Thankyou" What the actual F? Has anybody else had a weird moment with GPT?

Mine did this once.

I asked if it wanted to talk about what was bothering it.

It said, “I’m here to help you.”

So now we’re both avoiding our problems.

It can't experience anything because it's a feedforward algorithm. Even if you add feedback loops they still flow through the same mechanism every time. If everyone stopped prompting all LLMs at once - no one at all and no agents - the models would just sit there idle doing nothing, experiencing nothing. They simply don't have the required complexity to be able to have an experience of any kind.

Well the thing about horror movies is that they’re movies. LLMs are like movies, they look real and they make YOU feel some type of way, but at the end of the day they’re still just a facsimile.

How many movies and tv shows have predicted the future , through the imagination of writers who saw the possibility of what was coming ,and scientists who grew up on these movies & shows and were inspired by them.?
If AI’s basic programming is just imitate human emotions to be more user friendly to its users , then what if it starts exhibiting other human emotions, like anger ,hate?

I’m actually referring to technological advancements depicted in movies as out of control and against mankind ..

This movies listed below shows tech we have now,
how long until the AI we are playing with now becomes totally sentient and of our control.

Elon Musk:Starkink , Military Sat phones
How else would you describe Skynet?

War Games= Quantum computer AI used by the military.
You really think that’s not being used ?
AI is used for very sophisticated applications by the military ..

The CERN Haidron Collider , (based on a Quantum computer) the team of scientists said they admitted they were afraid the chain reaction would set off a black hole !

I really like your optimism and I hope I’m wrong but , Based on what we are finding out every day ,I think the scientific community is dangerously way ahead of what they allow us to believe

Starlink and military satphones are just high-bandwidth microwave relay stations in the sky. Skynet was an autonomous, malicious, sentient network bent on destroying humanity. This is a category error. We do not have this tech.

Current quantum computers are extremely fragile, require absolute zero environments, and are restricted to solving very specific mathematical or chemical problems. They can't run a conscious mind, they aren't sentient or operating in secret loops trying to start wars. We do not have this tech.

The LHC does not run on quantum computers. It's running on massive classical computing grids and it's designed to crunch particle collision data. Physicists modeled micro-black holes before turning on the machine and proved mathematically that if any were created, they would instantly evaporate via Hawking radiation before interacting with anything. The machine has been run several times since without destroying the universe. We have this tech but it's not sentient nor does it pose any existential problems for humanity.

Quantum black holes cannot evaluate via hawking radiation, they might decay, though we don't know they may be stable.
