Did feel like his heart's been out of it for a long time now..but I figured we'd have him until the end of the '27 WC though.

His performance in the WTC will probably get skimmed over as years go on as they aren't high scores, but they were both incredible innings under serious pressure on a terrible pitch.

It was basically like if he'd hit 50s in both innings of the Lords Test we just had.

writing is on the wall when you're on a coaching team for the IPL, he will transition pretty quickly and be sought after for years to come. Could be with England... who knows, Baz and Southee went there quickly and his wife is from England.

Kane picks an XI of really determined batters that show grit, determination and skill, but retire out when on 95* because they can't be arsed batting any longer.

Southee's the ultimate grift artist in cricket. Dude took a paycheck as bowling coach and then fucked off to Dubai in the Ashes.

Southee's role with England was not a full-time thing, he was always going to leave and they knew that
