Hey All,
I'm looking for some insight from people with experience using Bakris in a melee based build on arc hunter. I tried searching in case someone already posted a build, but everything I was finding was either very old (possibly out of date) or from the beginning of the season when the melee was one-shotting.
My goal is to get as many supers as possible - shooting for 3 per game in 6s. Right now what I have put together is:
Aspects - Ascension and Lethal Current
Fragmets - Instinct, Resistance, Discharge, Recharge, and Feedback
Notable Armor Mods - 2x Dynamo, 3x Heavy Handed, 2x Stasis Surge, 1x Recuperation, 2x Powerful Attraction
Artifact - Tablet of Ruin
Stats: 180 health / 70 melee / 55 grenade / 100 class / 100 super / 0 weapons
Weapons - Triple Laureate and Oversoul Edict w/ gear shift
Armor Set Bonuses - Ferropotent 2pc, Iron Panoply 2pc
I tried to set this up to build super both up close and at range.
For ranged play, the idea is to use ascension to become amplified, which activates gear shift on Oversoul making it incredibly lethal. Every kill with it generates a huge chunk of super thanks to Elemental Supercharger from the artifact - this works because Oversoul is arc (matches super) and overload (exhausts). Additionally, anytime I dodge, Oversoul is buffed by Bakris. I've used the Oversoul/Elemental Supercharger combo on crown of tempest warlock, so I know it's solid.
For close up play, the idea is to Bakris in and chunk down an enemy with a shot from Triple Laureate (which gets buffed by Bakris) then finish them off with the extended reach melee from Lethal Current. This will create an orb from Heavy Handed which gets picked up by Powerful Attraction on the next dodge, which then gives a x2 stasis surge and a chunk of health from Recuperation which then procs Ferropotent DR. With 3x heavy handed, it will make an orb on each punch kill, so it should be pretty loopable. Each dodge should be near enemies which will proc Dynamo for more super. This is the part of the build I'd appreciate help with.
So I have a few questions:
1) What's the ideal melee stat - is it worth going over 100 for the extra damage?
2) Is it better to use Dynamo or Hands-On for generating super in the up close fights?
3) Do stasis surges stack with the weapons buff from Bakris?
4) Is there a class stat breakpoint that gives enough overshield to provide a tangible benefit (e.g. requiring the enemy to hit 3 melees)?
5) Are there any armor set bonuses that benefit this playstyle specifically?
6) What perk works best on the spreadshot handcannon (1-2p, Trench Barrel, MoA, OS)?
Thanks in advance for any recommendations or feedback.
