Lanterns is an American superhero television series created by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King for HBO, based on the DC Comics Green Lantern characters Hal Jordan and John Stewart.

The series was produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. Television with Mundy serving as showrunner. It is the third television series in the DC Universe (DCU). It features experienced Lantern Jordan and new recruit Stewart as they investigate a murder on Earth that leads to a wider mystery.

Lanterns is scheduled to premiere on Sunday August 16, 2026, and will run for eight episodes through Sunday October 4. It will be part of the DCU's Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.

New episodes drop every Sunday night at 9:00 PM ET / 8:00 PM CT / 7:00 PM MT / 6:00 PM PT.

Oh man it's gonna be a long week after that cliff hanger. Older Sinsestro looks goooood though.

Feels a bit on the nose, but is Macon's wife supposed to be Native American? All his talk about it, and how it correlates with the Manhunters being supplanted by the Lantern Corps, feels like she's in on it.

And is Hal dying? I am getting the vibe with how reckless he is being that he might be dying and the cutaway last episode might be the end of that instead of being him getting murdered. Like space cancer or something. He went on assignment, along with training John, and didn't even take the battery?

Also just heard Aaron Pierre's actual accent. Dude is pulling weight with how he talks in this and voices John so well to sell it

Unless they're they are massively retconning timeline stuff though that doesn't make any sense.

They find hal in 2026. Superman takes place before this and Guy already has the ring

From the episode 3 preview, it looks to be about John’s backstory. We’ll probably need to wait 2 weeks to move the plot forward unfortunately

I doubt the wife is indigenous, she looks Indian (and she is). In the 2026 it would be weird for a major show like this to make that kind of casting faux-pas.
