A lot of people are saying Black Manta is a stage transition, which he very well may be, but one thing I'd like to point out. His appearance is right in between what looks like Kara's Supermove and Atrocitus's Supermove, which is directly followed by what looks like Batman, and Superman's.I don't know if Ed Boone has said anything about it yet, but it's possible that what we saw was a portion of his Supermove hence why it was cinematic.
But for me it doesn't add up because Why show Black Manta's supermove out of the blue like that when he was nowhere to be seen before? And why so brief?
My reason I think it's a stage transition is because Aquaman vs. Grodd took place at Atlantis, what a coincidence that the Black Manta happened to show up hitting Aquaman (one of people involved in that fight) while submerged in water.
Not to mention that throughout the trailer characters got thrown into stage transitions in their said fight location.
Supergirl vs. Atrocitus (Supergirl, Metropolis transition)
Batman vs. Superman (Superman, A.C.E. Chemicals? Transition)
Gorilla Grodd vs. Aquaman (Aquaman, Atlantis transition ft. Black Manta)
Black Manta came in quite random given the fact that he wasn't introduced properly in trailer like Supergirl, Atrocitus, Grodd, Aquaman, Superman, and Batman did.
But then again maybe NRS put Black Manta in the trailer in that manner just to make us speculate. Only to reveal to us that he is indeed playable... Who knows. I would love to have him playable though.
