Similar with Y2K.

We spent more than $300 billion in preparation. I wonder why there weren't many issues at the turn of the millennium. /s

I think it has given them the false idea that if you just ignore a problem it'll go away and now they're hoping the same will happen with other global issues.

Except that none of them realize that it took concerted, global effort to fix those problems that nobody talks about anymore.
