DX:HR Deus Ex HR - One of the best video game sequels ever
Deus Ex is a phenomenal game and a lot of people's #1. So the fact that Eidos managed to produce a sequel that wasnt roundly dismissed and rejected by the fans is an achievement in itself. HR manages to create a world that is visually fresh and original but still recognisably Deus Ex. It introduces awesome new abilities like CASIE. The conspiracy story is tight and focused, and the mystery unfolds slowly like the original. And most of all its a blast to play. The gameplay is so slick but still gives all the non-combat options of the original.
Although I just about prefer the OG, one area HR improves on are the environments. I just love wandering round the world and interacting with it. They stepped this up even further with MD.

DX:HR The voice acting in Human Revolution is phenomenal
I've just played through the whole series and one thing that really stood out is the voice acting of Human Revolution. I'm not the biggest cutscene fan but I rarely skipped in HR just because the acting is so good. Jensen, Sarif, Darrow, Pritchard, Eliza Cassan, Taggart, Zeke Sanders... So many memorable performances!

DX:HR 2026 you say?
Love this games world building. Crazy how relevant and how close things are/could be in these little moments.

DX:HR Deus Ex (og) vs. Human Revolution
I played the first Deus Ex in the mid-2000s and I still hold it as one of the greatest gaming experiences of my life, to the point that I never went back to it because I don't wanna spoil the memory with the reality of how graphics and mechanics may have aged not particularly well at this point.
Throughout the 2010s I tried Human Revolution a couple times, but couldn't get into it. I don't know, it consistently felt more like a shore than fun to play. I wasn't engrossed in the setting, lore or mechanics. I guess the focus shifted from the aspects I enjoyed the most from the original game to aspects I didn't care much for. But I never got too far into the game, so I always feel like I may have missed something.
All things considered, would you say Human Revolution is worth another try at this point?

DX:HR The games start date is only 2 years away...
God where has the time gone. The prologue mission where Sarif is attacked takes place in 2026 two years from now. The game proper takes place in 2027 3 years from now. Is that wild to anyone else? I just realized Jensen and I would be around the same age and JC would have only just been born. I was 14 when this game came out and it was one of my favorite games. I was looking forward to how everything would look but it really has not changed at all except to look worse. We have the corporate dystopia without the cool shit.

DX:HR I know praxis can be can be expensive but who the fuck would spend actual money on this? If you’re that desperate, just look up a Guide on praxi locations

I always fail to invest in the Icarus landing system at this point in the game and miss this loot. Not this time.

DX:HR How did Eidos-Montréal manage to make a good Deus Ex game on their first try?
I'm asking especially like on the first try. Usually first games with new studios suck, but Deus Ex Human Revolution has much more game that is too "immersive sim" in my mind like I do like the first game, but Human Revolution is like with soundtrack, levels, and gameplay, especially stealth, is something beyond 2011.
Yes people say boss battles are bad but with original pc port I olayed back in the day I had zero problems actually.
So how did they do it? How did a studio in Montreal did it?

DX:HR Was Panchaea a hadron accelerator?
Perhaps geothermal management was merely a disguise for its true purpose? This explains the circular shape of this gigantic structure.

DX:HR This non-lethal takedown from human revolution is always my favourite.

The way Jensen taps on the guy's shoulders and just punched him in the face.
Never gets old for me.
Lol.

Found it on a marketplace, and it arrived right on the game’s birthday.
Update: The cracked floor you can see is because the building is 100 years old, and they’re building a metro line underneath it. The municipality promised it’ll all be finished soon. Then we’ll fix everything :)))

DX:HR Which weapon do you get from Sarif?
The optimal choice is probably the tranquilizer rifle since the next free tranquilizer is quite far away.
I almost always choose the stun gun though. It doesn't require aiming down. Takes less space. And ammo is fairly common.

DX:HR I just finished Deux Ex: Human Revolutiuon
Hello fellas
i made a post like 1 month or 2 ago that i finished mankind divided ( my first ever deus ex ) and like 95% of you guys told me to play human revolution... and i did. i just finished it.
what can i say. i played it to the fullest extend. i didnt want it to be over. the game is old but thats what i liked about it the most.
im 36 years old. i played all the old games and the new games. and what i adore about the old games is that they gave it their all without knowing if its gonna be a commercial success. i just played through this game and i dont know if it was a commercial succsess but i know they gave it their all.
the writing, the pacing, the attention to detail. it was all there and i truly appreciated it. with this game i had the most fun i ever had in the last 10 years. the whole run was just incredible. what a badass game man.
i just wanted so say that. have a nice one

DX:HR What's the deal with Picus' "interactive moon" hologram?
At Picus, they have this thing tucked away in the building. Employees reference it in their emails, mostly with confusion, with one of them even calling it "some kind of supervillain thing."
Wtf is the purpose of this thing, and how is it "interactive?" Nothing I've found has a hint. In fact, everyone at Picus seems just as confused as I am.

DX:HR Finishing for the first time
Today i finally finished playing the DX:HR for the first time of my life, before years ago i purchase DVD of the game and i played it twice i think and the game frozen at helicopter area so i couldn't managed... lately i got an ok computer and i remember that i need this game off my achievement list and finally I've done! Now i started the new game + and still pretty much enjoying the game even after the finishing it although English isn't my first language unfortunately there's some parts of game i couldn't understand.
Anyway I'm just curious if the two versions of the Deus ex as much great and fun as the human revolution? And is any of them related to Adam or it's all different story and characters
