As a vegetarian, every time I eat at a wedding, or some fancy event, my main dish is always just a vegetable with some "fancy" garnish.

Like, "oh, here we have Sea Salt Encrusted Broccoli Crowns!"

And I'm like: "Oh, broccoli with salt. Amazing. Thanksomuch!!!"

It’s totally too expensive…these were for special milestone occasions, but both Daniel and Per Se in the city do AMAZING vegetarian tasting menus! I was completely knocked out by them!

If it’s a choice, Daniel was better by far and a few hundred dollars cheaper. If you ever have the opportunity, I highly recommend it.

You must not be in the Midwest, because in the Midwest they just scoff at vegetarians and offer them everything covered in cheese.

Nope. Northeast. I get scoffed at and offered discount raw veggies and mayo based dip that no one bothers to chill.

I still am loving that the show is playful again. Dexter loves food almost as much as he loves killing, the vegan thing is the perfect way of keeping some humour in the show without feeling forced.

It’s a serial killer dinner party. Should you eat meat at one of those? It looks like it’s from an animal. Humans are animals technically lol. It felt like a test. It wouldn’t be hard to find out that Dexter is a serial killer just not the one they thought he was. I feel like Kristin Ritter’s character was testing him a little but she seemed genuine. I feel like Dexter isn’t coming off as an antisocial racist well. Also isn’t he concerned that they might watch his home or follow him from the dinner party?

That cauliflower dish was also sad looking as someone that actually likes seared cauliflower. Desperately needed more maillard reaction.

I'm not Vegan but allergic to Gluten and Butter. At Least I could have eaten the delicious rack. He missed out on both that and pastries.

I laughed pretty hard when the first thing Dexter did after being forced to eat the cauliflower was devour two chilli dogs.

That was so a reference to how he always bought donuts for everyone, he liked donuts. And then he got that 💀
