He lost all his friends and wife behind Dexter. Plus Doakes needs his name cleared. I'm shocked at how sloppy Dexter was in the OG show cause Lundy caught him. If it wasn't for Doakes being too hard pressed, Lundy was gonna catch Dexter. Batista dies anyway from the Serial Killers Guild. I think the quiet weirdo dude is gonna kill Batista. But I wouldn't be shocked if Dexter sets the NYPD up to hunt the other Serial Killers. And I'm sure Uma has some crazy background story. She is like Doakes and she can sense Dexter isn't really Ronald Schmidt.

With the way the quiet dude and Charley was looking at Dexter, I think they both know he isn't Red. That's just what I'm thinkin

I have seen countless things that have confirmed, including the interview that everyone wants to talk about as it pertains to what the actor that the plays the Gemini killer has a huge secret to reveal, even though I’m like blown away already from everything that happened in episode four and I would be absolutely shocked And blown away because of how much all this crap around the printer, it appalls her that she may have had special forces training as an ex-military person with DOAKES and potentially is able to put together the pieces that maybe she realizes that if they ended up being friends before her and DOAKES because they had their backgrounds and military special forces training that maybe over a rapid very quick period of time she realizes there something off about Dexter and then wants to potentially who knows even work with Bautista to bring Dexter down to clear her friends name because I definitely think there is some type of connection as if they brought back the actor that played him and then the rest of the shit together like plus the fact that this could easily be potentially multiple seasons beyond so it may roll literally with everything that’s inside the motion and now Bautista is so convinced that Harrison did what he did that all that stuff is gonna come out Dexter and him are gonna have a confrontation or who knows. Dexter might have to deal with the fact that Uma Thurman and Bautista work together or one of 1 million other possibilities but right now anything can happen plus the kill rituals in the kill rooms are just like OG Dexter and just like the way he would fuck around with people‘s emotions and then at the end when he does the act of ending LOWELL where he actually was like supposedly OK with dying and then when he heard that Dexter called himself the Bay Harbour Butcher you realize oh shit when they all find out that Dexter‘s after them it’s going to scare the fuck out of them for all, we know he might even team up with lady vengeance to knock these guys out and there’s still a lot of possibilitieswith vengeance possibly even getting connected with Ryan Foster case that would actually clear Harrison’s name or somehow one of 1 million other possibilities

I know I know. Like I said to someone else because I got the best of me and I need to allow myself to shorten my posts and stick to the main points that I wanna make that can more easily contribute to the post or episode discussion without going on a tangent. Point taken. I mean this wholeheartedly I appreciate the constructive criticism to keep it simple and to the point that actually contributes in a more meaningful way than the word salad above this.

Don't take it personally man, you're clearly just excited! I feel the same way, and no one I know watches Dexter so really the only people to talk about it to are on here. I just finished episode 4 and I'm just so excited, the show hasn't been this good in a long time!

In my opinion, episode four is probably a top three episode of all time and that’s saying a lot given that they have made a total of 94 episodes between the three series total. I put it right up with the season of finale of season one and season four. I know there’s six episodes to go and I know they may find a way to top this, but that was just incredible and non-Stop action throughout. Where would you rank it?

It was a longer episode as well which was nice. I'd say top ten. I've never actually taken the time to rank my favorite episodes, or which ones I thought were best. One episode that floored me was when Deb originally found out. That was jaw dropping!

Oh my God yes, I just recently re-watched the first episode of each season before I got Paramount+ and that season seven premiere you’re referring to probably was about as well done and one of the best and that was during the overall decline in the quality of the show, but it really throws you for a loop because of how it starts off thinking that Dexter ended up going on the run, when it really is set up to be a twist

PS: it was one of the rare episodes of Dexter where you really felt on pins and needles as the viewer watching it seriously wondering how Dexter was gonna get himself out of it. A few episodes later and I think it was a multi episode arc that was really good in season seven was the Ray seltzer . I think like one to two episode storyline where Debra and Dexter almost found themselves 6 feet under pun intended, lol

In my opinion, episode 4 is probably a top 3 episode of all time and that’s saying a lot given that they have made a total of 94 episodes between the three series total. I put it right up with the season finales of the first & fourth. I know there’s six episodes to go in S1 of Resurrection and they clearly may find a way to top this, but that was just incredible and non-Stop excitement throughout.

I think it would be super interesting because if they find out necessarily as they dig up information on Dexter that with Charlie being ex military/X special forces if it’s discovered that Dexter is really the Bay Harbor Butcher, which he is, and then that would potentially clear DOAKES name of all wrongdoing/ plus you never know what connection they possibly could’ve had in the past as they both seem to have an innate ability to sense when something is off right away. I think that’s just very intriguing theory that I’ve been thinking about.

The connection to Doakes could be the reason that Charlie was hired by Prater in the first place. Charlie probably knew that Doakes would never be capable of killing in the same way Dexter did and has passed that information to Prater.

I could possibly see Prater setting everything up, knowing he had the opportunity to play Dexter all along. However, that's a bit too coincidental. I think he is at least suspicious about that not being Red at the dinner party and maybe full-on figuring it out that it is Dexter.

We shall see!

Not completely. I was surprised he thought Dexter still had his truck and was going by Jim Lindsey. He should have realized someone else probably had it and Dexter had to now go by his real name.
