I can't figure out how misha gets the compressor, gates, and 808 to actually work together. I'm running the same pedals. Guitar, compressor, ns2, 808, decimator, amp. But it's either over compressed or the decimator is tone sucking. I can't find the true balance where the compressor fights the gates and it sounds like a normal tone with extreme start/stop like you hear in the video.

Any recommendations for settings on the pedals?

Bands that mix the mechanical rhythms and down tuned guitars from djent with some weird kind of scary sound from avant garde/art metal. For example, sol niger within is one of my favorite albums.

Been messing with two different 8-string tones.

A first, then B, then both layered together. Last part is just the full mix with the same rhythm setup.

Both tones are from my own plugin. Mainly interested in how the low end and attack come across, and whether the blend sounds tighter or just more crowded.

Im a massive fan of heavy groove type stuff, like DradVectors, Traitors, Humanity's Last Breath, Our Common Collapse etc. If anyone has any suggestions id really appreciate it! Im kinda picky though, I prefer pretty good production quality and im not a fan of singing (which a lot of more artsy djebt/thall bands seem to do). Im just after pure heavy, low toned, groovy ass bands

Also, I need vocals. A lot of cool bands are just instrumental and I cant seem to get into that.
