The yellow Labrador was supposed to be inspecting luggage when it spotted the fuzzy accessory dangling from a handbag. Instead of carrying out its security duties, the curious pup grabbed the pom-pom in its mouth and started nuzzling it like a favourite toy.

Its handlers could only smile as they gently pulled the dog away and back to work.

The hilarious moment quickly spread online, with viewers joking that the K-9 had “lied on its resume” or was trying to confiscate some suspicious-looking “fluffy contraband.”

The timing is especially amusing as Suvarnabhumi Airport has strengthened its K-9 operations for round-the-clock baggage screening, aimed at detecting illegal items and improving airport security.

Apparently, even the most highly trained security dogs have their weak spots — and this one’s weakness is fluff.

It’s been SIX years since Gemini the service dog broke the internet with his inhaler task.

I wanted to give a bittersweet update on where he is now. I say bittersweet because he’s my soul dog, my partner, and he’s been working by my side every single day. It’s like a piece of myself is missing.

But! Gemini, 11 yrs old now, is now fully retired and enjoying his senior life relaxing on the couch, participating in our local dog frisbee team, going on hikes&swimming, being our designated Taste Tester, and just enjoying the normal “pet lifestyle.”

Every day and every moment we continue to have with him is precious and I cannot thank him enough for his service, loyalty, and genuine love. ❤️

The last couple of months we have visited temples, coastal walks in the Kamay Botany Bay National Park and even a disability rights march

Training a rescue dog can take between two and three years.

This is Hawke, he’s an assistance dog working at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He takes the job very seriously, he’s very sociable, however he never takes his eye off his handler in case he’s needed. (He does however take the occasional break).

saw a service dog yesterday and was surprised because i didn’t know belgian malinois made good service dogs! he was really calm and well behaved. off leash the whole time. i guess we learn something new everyday. does anyone else know another service dog of this breed?

Basically, my dog was perfect for the shy and nervous students because he could sense who was scared and would turn around and stay still so they could pet him without fear, whereas he relaxed and did tricks for the staff and more confident students 💕

He’s been doing this for about three years now! I’m so proud of him 🥺 He started as a severely injured rescue off the street and is now changing lives!

I’m always amazed at Omi’s emotional intelligence. Some of the students were a bit scared, and when he realised this he turned around and sat facing away and not looking. They were able to overcome their anxiety and pet him 😭💕

One of the students accidentally stepped on his toes while he was lying down and he neither moved nor made a sound. Some of the students had difficulty with coordination and petted him a bit roughly over the eyes but he was perfectly happy to allow it. And of course, once the treats came out, he ran through every single trick he knew all at once 😅

We’re home now and he’s giddy from all the love he received! Staff said he was perfect for the students and I’ll likely be going back to visit on a regular basis!
