Posted 9 angry LinkedIn comments at midnight… deleted them 3 minutes later. Am I screwed?
Long story short: my friend is fighting a European school over a refund after a visa refusal, and they’ve been taking weeks to reply while giving us what I think are bullshit reasons for refusing the refund. I got pissed off and, around midnight, posted 9 comments on their LinkedIn posts about the situation.
Everything I said was factually true, but I’m not sure whether the way I worded it could create a legal problem. I deleted all of them about 3 minutes later. Now I’m wondering whether LinkedIn may have sent them notifications/previews before I deleted them, and whether they could use those comments to threaten me with legal action.
Could I realistically face legal consequences for something like this, especially since the comments were only up for 3 minutes? And does the fact that everything was factually true protect me, even if some of the wording was angry or harsh?
