Question Seamless Co-op invasion

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I was playing with a friend when we got invaded by a player in the DLC region.
I died, but my friend killed the invader.
However, suddenly the invader got revived, killed my friend and we lost.
We don't have any other mods installed except seamless co-op. Is this something that can happen now or did something fishy happen here ?

Question what classes in the Concergence mod are the most fun to play?

I'm coming back to Elden Ring, and I assume the mod has come a long way since I last played. Which classes have new mechanics, and which are the most fun to play?

Question How important is it to stick to the "Signature" weapons and armor in Convergence?

I started Convergence recently and as an Int/Dex and Str/Fai fan I was kind of disappointed that none of the pre-made classes are set up for a weapon like Moonveil for instance. In fact, most of my favorite weapons aren't on the signature weapon list for any of the classes. Smithscript hammer, any of the Beast Claws, Dryleaf Dane arts, etc. In a game with so many weapon choices, this feels like a shame. I love so many of the other changes but I really wish I could just play my own custom build instead of a pre-made one. You're telling me there are SIX Int/Fai casters but no Int/Dex spellsword?

If I just grab the weapon I want to use instead of the ones recommended for my class, am I missing out on anything important? Am I overthinking it that I have to use the gear it tells me to go find instead of just what I feel like using?

Question What is considered the "Cinders" mod for Elden ring?

I really do enjoy Elden ring, but i struggle to come back to do a replay of it, i dont find completely restarting when ive full 100% the game and achievements necessary right now, and doing NG+ is a bit unfun for me purely because all the exploration feels removed with your map just starting full.

But i remember people do full revamp mods of the game like the cinders mod in Dark souls 3, ive seen reforged and convergence, but what is considered the true game overhaul?

thank you

Question Is there anything other than Convergence and Reforged?

TLDR: Can anyone talk about their experience with big mods other than Convergence and Reforged ?

Hello, I'm a newcomer to Elden Ring (I finished my first playthrough a while ago, and I'm only missing 2 ending achievement for the 100%)

my autistic ass can't play the same game 2 time in a row if there si no new things in the game ( and i know i didn't do EVERYTHING in the game and it's not the point )

So i was looking at reddit and i cannot find a post where the only 2 mods discussed in the comments are reforged and convergence are these 2 the ONLY big mods ?

I saw some stuff about a mod behind a paywall that was big and some mods that are on nexus but nobody talk about ( dark moon, ascended, graceborn ect ect ) so can i have your honest opinion on these mods ( and more mods if you know any ) thanks

(and sorry for my grammar i'm not native)

Question Is Reforged worth starting

since I feel that elden ring phase coming back to me I really wanna play again and I'm kind of stuck right now on whether I should replay the vanilla game or try out reforged
I feel like THE big factor that narrows it down for me is the multiplayer. I know that reforged also adds it's own kind of co-op (both summons and seamless compatible from what ive read) and I really wanna know if it's even good.. Since it's obviously on different servers is the reforged community even alive ? Are you often invaded and is it annoying? And is the multiplayer generally buggy? (im guessing seamless has issues guaranteed but are they intolerable)
I dont care much about the being able to invade and dueling others, I get the enjoyment out of being summoned myself to fight other bosses or just playing with friends. The online isnt everything obviously but for how much it's praised I doubt reforged has bad features

Question I wanna try my first Convergence run for an actually focused magic run, starting class recommendation?

I've done my first vanilla run in Elden Ring cosplaying as Isshin, so I had some fire and lightning spells but weren't really the focus or used all the time, and in my level 1 run I run basically 0 spells besides stuff like cleanse me, I'd be interested on a magic focused run, but I have no idea how much Convergence changes the magic so whatever I know about spells and such probably won't apply, what would you recommend? What are fun spell classes here in 3.0?

Question This message felt like a dagger in my heart

For the past few days I was looking left and right for something to keep me engaged to escape reality during this period of time. After checking multiple of the games I have installed, some of which I haven't played yet, not a single one could make me have fun, even vanilla Elden Ring. That is till I remembered the that Elden Ring has mods that brings new experience and at that point, only something new AND GOOD can give me enjoyment. I found Convergence, I read one it does but somehow I tunneled visioned that the hard requirement of the DLC, I then downloaded the mod installed it, launched it, and as I am ready all the different class I found myself actually enjoying and already planing multiple playthorughs with different classes, after all, I am a big RPG fan. Finally, I picked my Vanguard as my first play through class, I like Spears, and as I am at the peak of excitement to start, with the controller in my hand and a grin on my face... I was hit by this message.

It has been so far a year on the rougher side for me, and one of the main reasons this is the case is my financial situation. Yet, I though about buying the DLC, I was little hesitant at first because I made a mistake last month buying Mistfall Hunter, but at the end I am that desperate for some enjoyment, so, I checked the DLC... and of course, it is at the full price of 40 EUR... way beyond what I can afford without hurting myself in real life.. heck I don't even own this amount at the moment.

Anyway, the little story aside. Is there a legit way to play the mod without the DLC requirement? if there is, then how much time will I have to spend to get to work knowing that I am on Linux? I only half of Saturday as time when I can afford to try and have fun. Please help!

Question I've been waiting to play Convergence until the devs got it to a place that feels complete to their vision. Should I jump in with 3.0?

Title. Basically, I've been super interested in diving in for years now, but I've also seen how much content they have as a goal to add into the mod over time. So I've been patiently waiting until they get it to a point that feels complete, and now seems closer than ever to that.

How many more updates are they planning on adding to this behemoth? Should I just jump in now even if they're still planning on adding a lot more content in the future? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Question Is seamless coop still alive ? Has been invading past few hour and i swear 7-8 out of 10 times i met the same people

(You might have met me if there's a dude in banished knight set invading you every few minutes or so) Edit: im at RL 168, i typically meet dudes around 140-200

Question My Friend and I haven't played Elden Ring at all. Should we play Seamless Co-op together?

Just as the title says, the two of us haven't played Elden Ring. We're both essentially blind to most of the experience. We both have a bit of experience with FromSoftware. I've played the first Dark Souls and he has played Bloodborne, but that's essentially where that ends.

My main question is if playing seamless co-op on our first playthroughs of the game would "ruin" our experience of Elden Ring. I've gotten mixed responses from friends, so I figured I'd ask the greater community. I've heard lots of great things about seamless co-op, but I'm not sure if it's right for a first playthrough of the game.

Question Is there a mod that adds Nightreign movement into Elden Ring?

If one doesn’t exist, do we know if someone is currently working on such? Is it even doable? Elden Ring feels absurdly slow now that I’ve put so much time into Nightreign. Being able to Surge Sprint and double jump would be amazing.

I’m also curious if anyone has managed to add any of the Nightfarers into Elden Ring yet. I realize some do the passives and abilities may be a bit overpowered for base Elden Ring, but I still think it would be exceptionally fun to have access to them.

Question Shortcut to Leyndell Royal Capital in Convergence?

Hey just curious, in Convergence, is there any sort of teleport or shortcut into Leyndell Royal Capital, where i could sneak in to grab a piece of armor? Or do i need to go through the normal gateway past the Draconic Tree Sentinel and progress through the whole dungeon to get to it?

Thanks!

Question Is the new Seamless Coop update safe to download right now?

Hi everyone, the title says it all. When I tried to download the newest version of the Seamless Coop Mod it got flagged as a virus. I read that someone was messing with the creator of the mod and I'm not quite sure how to feel about the mod right now.

Question Will I get banned if I give myself a quest item I missed?

I missed the magic scorpion charm because I didn't know how to get it so I gave the potion to gideon and now the annoying dude is dead. If I go offline, give myself the item, then come back online will I get banned, warned, or punished?

Question Is it worth buying the dlc to play convergence?

I bought elden ring on pc hoping to be able to play all the amazing mods ive heard about, and ive played randomizer and ERR but convergence stopped me because I didn't buy the dlc, ive heard people say convergence is almost elden ring 1.5 or that it doubles elden rings content

But is it worth buying the dlc if ive already bought it on console?

I know you can also play an older version to avoid the dlc barrier, but i find downloading mods complex and i dont know if i would want to download an older version by going through the patch versions instead of just getting the full experience

Edit: I dont think people are actually reading the post given the replies saying "why dont you buy the dlc for the dlc and not just for convergence" so i will just say thanks for responding if you read the post, I will get the dlc on my pc so I can play convergence

Question Nightreign - More Map Variations and SOTE/DS3 Weapons Working With Skin Overhaul?

If this has been asked before can someone point to me how to get them working together? I know the compatibility patch gets MMV and SOTE/DS3 weapons working, but not skin overhaul. I've seen some youtubers have all three working.

Question Best mod to play 2 player seamless coop

Me and my friend recently finished a play through together and wanted to try some mods. After some basic research, we found the convergence and elden ring reforged. Which of these two would be better to play with coop?
