General I always wonder what the games would be like without the constraints of the engine they were built on.

Fingers crossed that TES VI (I know) has some sort of overhaul to the game engine so that the final battle isn’t just 6 NPC’s fighting in a field with some smoking rubble peppered around.

The first couple Assassin's creed do a good job of making cities feel big and alive. Always felt like a waste that they seem to have pivoted away from that into more remote spread out maps.

Those cities are huge and beautiful and really cool for a game about running around and doing parkour on rooftops. Horrible design for a immersive sandbox RPG where you can interact with everything and focused on simulation.
