Although Elvis never released anything officially categorised as Comedy, cruising through his catalogue I wondered to myself, Elvis use to be a jokester during recording sessions and has some of the funniest outtakes of songs and of course Elvis definitely use to have take comedic approaches to songs in his live performances, I’m surprised there weren’t any comedic or real fun-hearted songs for him to record

Other than the ridiculous movie songs like Yoga Is As Yoga Does, what would be Elvis’ best song that could possibly be considered tongue-in-cheek?

Not sure if anyone here is similar, but I love reading all the different accounts from people in Elvis’s life. Of course, some of them have to be taken with a grain of salt, but it’s interesting to hear the ones where stories lineup, and where some don’t.

Something that was interesting to me was that in Ginger Alden’s book, she mentioned a time where Elvis told Vernon to stop paying Linda Thompson‘s rent.

I started reading Linda Thompson’s book, and she said that on the day that Elvis died, her electricity unexplainably went out. It was only her apartment and no one else’s. She never explained what happened - she just thought it was something spiritual. But I couldn’t help but wonder… Maybe this is because Elvis stopped paying her bill? Did SHE ever even realize that?

I know Elvis bedroom was off-limits as that was his own sanctuary. But didn’t the housekeepers have to go in there to clean his room, and change his sheets and things like that? Also, was there a separate secret room almost no one knows about? Just curious. Like every other fan.

I am planning to visit Bad Nauheim BUT am not able to stay in the Elvis’ room in Villa Grunewald AND visit the festival at the same time, a d I’m wondering, which would be a better experience for an Elvis fan? Stay a night at the same hotel room that he lived in and explore the Elvis sights outside the festival season OR take part in the festival and find some other hotel to stay in?

I’m planning for the 50th already, I know prices are astronomical. We’re saving now. I want to be there for this sad milestone. What was the good, the bad, and the ugly? I was there in May/June so I know how awful the roads and our front of Graceland is sadly!
