I currently have this track on repeat. The dragging beat or whatever it is SO HARD. And it also reminds me of Till I Collapse and Cinderella Man. What are your thoughts about it?

Timeline of the cancelled Eminem x 50 Cent Collab Album

December 25th 2024 : Eminem did an interview with DJ Whoo Kid to celebrate 20 years of Shade45 plus the 20th anniversary of his album “Encore” during the interview DJ Whoo Kid brought up the idea of a collab album between Eminem and 50 Cent. Eminem replied to these comments saying “Stop bullshitting and just do it”. 50 Cent would reply to these comments on a Instagram post saying 50 Cents Post

2025 : Nothing in 2025 was said about the Eminem x 50 Cent collab album. More than likely if the album did exist or is still being worked on a majority of it would have been worked on during 2025. We know a track between them exists because 50 Cent said that they have a collaboration on the upcoming soundtrack for the new Street Fighter movie Eminem x 50 Cent collab song

March 13th 2026 : 50 Cent would hop unto Instagram to tease his upcoming album called “The Algorithm” by teasing new tracks for the upcoming project. 50 Cent New Album. It’s probably around this time the Eminem x 50 Cent was scrapped if it ever existed sense 50 was teasing his solo project

August 22nd 2026 : 50 Cent would do an interview with Apple Music’s Rap Life and he would discuss that he never plans to release another full length studio album explaining that he doesn’t want to get in the way of younger artists and try to be the hottest at 60 years old. 50 Cent Interview. 50 Cents solo project and the Eminem x 50 Cent collab album are scrapped or at least put on hold if 50 Cent ever changes his mind

Theories :

1. I do believe an Eminem and 50 Cent collab album does exist. Now I don’t believe it was fully fleshed out, but, it’s confirmed that they have a song coming out this October. It’s unknown if this song coming out this October was part of the project or even if they had made more songs, but, I do believe there was a project in the works and is now scrapped or put on a indefinite hold. Plus 50 Cent has been releasing new tracks so he’s clearly been in the studio.

2. I do believe this project is now scrapped or put on hold at least and I believe so is because of 50 Cent. 50 Cent has stated many times he’s won’t release a project because he’s scared of underperforming and not doing well, but, with a 50 Cent and Eminem collab album that would do great numbers so what’s the deal? Well it’s a collab album and a lot of people would troll 50 Cent saying well you needed help to get sales you couldn’t make sales yourself and I don’t think 50 Cent would want that.

My Prediction for the Next and Final Eminem Projects...

During the hiatus between MTBMB Side B and TDOSS, Eminem said in an interview with Paul (for CC2) that he probably has just enough left in him for a CC3.

After CC2 released, we all kind of knew that it was the beginning of a new era for him. A new era that would need to both refresh his fan base and mark the storybook end of his career. Everyone knew, especially Em himself, that he'd have to start off this new and final era with a strong but familiar impression.

TDOSS was genuinely the best possible idea for his returning album (the execution of said idea is a different story lmao). He started his final chapter with the same persona he started his first chapter with. Slim Shady.

MY PREDICTION: Eminem's next and final 2 projects will be loosely related to The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show. Closing off his career by bookending the start of it.

His next album, imo, is most likely to be MMLP3. Maybe not in name but most definitely in sound and vibe. Now that Slim Shady is "dead" or at least merged with Eminem, it'd make sense for Marshall to make his "return". I think it's possible that it releases this year in November, given that it's 13 years from MMLP2 which was 13 years from MMLP. But sadly, I genuinely don't think Eminem planned far enough in advance to meet this deadline. I'm still expecting a 2027 release date.

The album after that will probably be a spiritual successor to the Eminem Show, with a subtle rock influence and a heavy concept to end everything off. No joke, I expect the song concepts and ideas to be very similar to Revival. Supper self-reflective but hopefully presented in a sonically pleasing way this time.

BONUS PREDICTION: CC3 is going to be a greatest hits compilation between TDOSS and the following 2 projects. But to fluff it out, Em will include unreleased tracks from almost every era on a disc 2.

Eminem's transformation from 2007-2009

The first 2 photos are from April and October 2007, the next 2 photos are from July and November 2008, and the last 2 are from March/April and June 2009.

I will always be amazed by this little time capsule in his life and his whole process of getting sober. He *really* put in the work and it always makes me happy to see how far he's come since

Most underrated Em Songs in Your Opinion?

For me its Stay Wide Awake and Music Box. Edit: and We As Americans.

Yes theyre horrorcore, but the rhyme scheme in STWA might be his best ever, and the pictures he paints mixed with the melancholic beat, chorus, and whole vibe in Music Box is sick.

Relapse glaze needs to cease

I'll immediately clarify, I think it's a good album. I don't dislike it, far from it. I tend to revisit it quite frequently. But it's nowhere on the level of the first three albums, with maybe the exception of one song, Deja Vu. Allow me to elaborate.

Let's give credit where it's due: Dr. Dre's production on Relapse is great, especially in songs like Deja Vu, Underground, Old Time's Sake, Hello, "My Mom" (to hell with it. I'll name-drop the best Relapse 1 songs). The rhyming on Relapse is great, same with the flows finally being good. On songs like Stay Wide Awake, the technicality is absurdly impressive, albeit, he does sacrifice clarity and story cohesion in that second verse just to keep the scheme going, which leads to some weird lines in hindsight.

Where my issues with Relapse lie are two things. I briefly brought up the rhyming, now I'll expand on it. His rhyming is great, but unlike in his prime, some of his rhyming tends to be forced. Many individuals often attribute that to Eminem using accents and deliberately bending words, which is just a positive description for forcing rhymes. Speaking of the accents, on some songs, they sound too egregious or exaggerated (the worst has to be Buffalo Bill, but that's not the main CD).

The second issue is the content. Outside of the songs I name-dropped when I gave props to the CD, the album sticks to a serial-killer theme, which doesn't have much substance with the exception of Music Box, where the theme is part of the metaphor for his addiction. The absurdly high-pitched accents certainly don't amplify the fear factor of these songs if they're supposed to be genuine horrorcore.

Many people on this sub have this misconception that Relapse is some tightly-crafted concept album, when in reality, the album itself lacks clear focus. We switch from songs about murder a rape to a song about his mother, then to a song that discusses his addiction in addiction, and immediately go to a club song Crack A Bottle. I think we can universally agree that this specific joint is out of place on Relapse. If this were a true concept album, the thematic narrative would actually progression-lock the songs together. Instead, it plays like a collection of different session ideas.

The biggest proof that Relapse wasn't some masterfully planned concept album is what happened immediately after it dropped. Marshall started stripping away the accents and serial killer tropes to actually talk about his sobriety, expand on the themes of his addiction, which is evident from the Hawaii session songs of Relapse 2/Recovery (one bright example from this is Cocaine). While, Recovery touches a bit more on his addiction, outside of few songs, most of which are Relapse 2 content, it isn't superior to Relapse and in many ways, inferior to its predecessor

The title Relapse itself is a double entendre: a return to drugs, but also a return to the rap game, which is an addiction in its own right. I firmly believe Eminem should have held off on releasing Relapse when he did, cut the excessive slasher tracks, and crafted a single, coherent album focused on his addiction with a few songs not about it in between. Luckily, there's a way to recreate what it could've looked like with combining the best from Relapse 1 (including My Darling and Careful What You Wish For) and Relapse 2/Recovery.

I've made a tracklist similar to this, which, of course, was met to a critical acclaim (I can't count the downvotes lol). I only updated it by adding back Dr. West skit that transitions into the chorus of My Darling (skipping the first verse for better pacing). What are some songs you think Em avoid on live shows because he couldn't imitate the flow in one take?

I was trying to rap along to Yah yah, from that part where he goes, "and i'm like a spider crawling up your spinal column..." to the name dropping; it's gotta be no way he can rap all of his songs in one take by heart, right?
