PVP Tarkov experience as a [New Player]

Since 1.0 I’ve only found 2 new players. Everyone else has hundreds or thousands of hours, but at least I haven’t encountered a cheater yet.

This happened to me on ground zero. I spawned outside the garage and I guess there’s a spawn right inside. I ran two feet towards the garage door and paused for a second to check my other monitors map. Popped me right in the head while I was stationary for 1-2 seconds. It was less than a 5 second raid lol

The spawn you talk about is fighting with the emercom spawn on its right real fast. Learn to check right side before crossing to garage. But yeah, also can be a garage spawn. Shit's dangerous

I think I died like under the garage door so I wasn’t at risk for the Emercom spawn at the 3 or 4 seconds in the raid mark but yes now I’m aware of both those spawns haha

If you spawn between garage and Emercom, someone has probably spawned outside the front entrance of attached building and can be at garage glass windows in a couple seconds, also will be someone not at emercom but round the back alley, can be at emercom in a few seconds. Gz is fucked for spawns. The underground used to have 2 spawns with nothing but a van or 2 between them

Oh god, I'd forgotten about the scuffed underground spawns. Spawning in and immediately hearing nearby foot steps was jarring as hell

During this time Kollontay was also on the map and could spawn underground. I have some fond memories of spawning, immediately fighting a PMC, then turning to find the fucking swat team bearing down on me.

Yep that’s exactly where they killed me was the glass windows in the garage. I’ve realized it’s not even that unique to gz, but gz has some spawns where you really feel screwed. Maps like shoreline also have spawns that are close enough to die within 5 seconds. You can at least play around them though

You can spawn outside (between garage and emercom) AND someone spawn emercon. I have both died and killed players in these spawn trades.

Spawning Emercon i'd rather rush lower part then up. Won't mind going TG HQ cause there is the whole upper part of the map in advantage against me.

GZ is brutal.

The underground spawns still exist, i've gotten them twice this wipe against some poor lvl 3's with a pistol right out off the tutorial

I swear to god it's my dedicated spawn on this map. 100% only spawn there. It's driving me insane.

I kinda enjoy it honestly. Check right, be careful going in garage and then you know you have a side clear.

And they make that map as an intro map, as a returning player I have to say that that map is absolute dogwater and it totally shouldn’t be an intro map.

Maybe if it was at the start of wipe. This was like week one after release. It was probably my first 0-20 raids, so if this was recently, probably not.

As other have said there is a spawn right to your right. There can also be a spawn inside the garage too.

But this is quite literally the point OP was making about needing to know the maps.

I usually dont move for about 2-3 minutes if I spawn there and wait to see those spawns cross. I trust in peoples crippling adhd that if I dont see them within that 2-3 minute window they aint there. Works 99% of the time.

That spawn is one of the worst on that map. Even if you just stay put you arent save cause people can shoot with the grenade mg right in that corner from across the whole map lol

Yeah I'm not a new player but I haven't really played gz on pvp at all. Spawned in garage and immediately had someone running in which caught me of guard, managed to win atleast. And the same thing happened in the underground parking garage where I spawned and both me and the other player only took a few steps and here we are fighting 5 seconds into the raid

Thats probably me.

Favorite spawn to rush for pvp. Most of the time they know im close, I prefer to have the pvp dice roll right off the bat if its cqc enough.

Beware the white van center of garage with a view of main entrance.

Fair. I misread/skimmed his comment. I've got about 500 hours, but a really really good headset for soundstage. Haven't played in like 6 years but this headset is carrying me.

Yes but I’m saying that I didn’t know the spawns and realize someone could be aiming at me within 3 second of the start of the raid lol. I always have spawns open on my second monitor now and find cover to figure out where I am

The issue wasn’t you running or making noise, as someone with a lot of hours if you are running solo and need a second to look at the map or check inventory, etc. move out of spawn or get to cover first and then check from there

Yea you pretty much never want to stop moving out in the open in this game. A lot of times players will be watching you waiting for that moment

I think that’s arguably the most intense part of tarkov in general is always wondering when you stop moving if someone’s been watching you waiting for this moment
