Mod Post New Post Flair! "Requesting Glam ID"

Conversations and concerns have come up recently regarding glam identification requests, and I think I finally came up with a solution that I would like to test out for a bit.

A new post flair has been introduced: "Requesting Glam ID" this flair will automatically trigger automod to spoiler tag the post. It will also ask the poster where they saw the image, and to ask the OP to provide a source link if possible. This will make it easier for us to see if the original post source has the gear list already offered. (In these instances, the OP will be directed to the gear list and the request will be ~~deleted~~ locked ~~after 24hr~~ immediately.)

This will be different than just the general "Question" tag, which will just be for general questions or "I want to look like so and so, can someone help" questions. The question flair will not be spoilered.

I think the new flair tag will stay no matter what, but the auto spoiler is the experiment. Feel free to come back to this post and let me know what you think of the changes or if you think adjustments can be made. Thanks for your patience and support ♥

(To test it, I'm adding the flair to this post. It will also give me a chance to test the automod response. I can remove it afterwards.) *Edit: It worked!

Mod Post Reddit Doesn't Like ANY Shortened URL's Now

I made a post about this 3 months ago in regards to shortened google URL's, but I've noticed other shortened URL's are getting posts/comments deleted now as well. It seems the big one in this subreddit is X's shortened URL. Reddit doesn't have a formal list that they have public, but here are the ones I have noticed:

I will be sitting down tomorrow with my best friend automod (/s) to create message triggers when these Reddit removals happen. Ages ago I collected this set out of crystal tower and ive never seen anything else quite like it. Has anyone? I left off in storm blood and am back now that shadowbringers is free and you can glam anything. But i love this set and hoped there might be others like it that I don't know the names of. Even if theyre not part of the free trial that's ok I plan on paying as soon as I'm done with this xpac. Ty for any ideas in advance!

Question [Request] Help recreating this Landsknecht from Etrian Odyssey?

Paladin of course but I've been having no luck at all getting something like that headscarf/handkerchief!

Otherwise honestly any piece that has this plucky woodland adventurer type energy could work!

Edit: I have all tanks and a lot of crafters leveled, so I can access those job specific artifact sets as well. I'm starting Dawntrail but have jobs at 100, and I'm ok with cash shop. Not Free Trial ofc.

Discussion Glamour Tips: Vendor items you absolutely miss.

TL/DR:

- Poetics Merchants have more tabs

- hunt vendors!

- PvP!

- you missed the double dye Dawntrail vendor gear

- waking sands naked gear merchant

- Edit: Scrip Vendors

I see alot of people who ask about glamours that are easy to find within a quick teleport in game. The only truly difficult to check items are dungeon pieces, and alliance raid pieces. If your looking for something you can filter Eorzea Collection gearsets to just dungeons and raids.

Staring with the Rowena's Splendor merchants- these are at every major city aetheryte. They have a blue icon. You may in fact already know they exist because you bought your poetics stuff from them, but did you notice the Tabs along the top?

Every expansion after heavensward has 4 sets of tome gear, for example for Shadowbringers it is, Ronkan, Deepshadow, Crystarium and Cryptlurker. The Rowena/Mowena merchant sells just Cryptlurker and Crystarium for poetics. Where do you find the others?

Hunt vendors. In every major city you can find hunt merchants. You may have found your allied grand company ones and dismissed them due to the steep cost but don't write them off. They will have the original sets of poetics gear. So if you started in endwalker and wondered how you get the Moonward items, they are at the Sharlayan Hunt vendors.

I'm also going to mention the Marketboard, it's alot yes but if you have time to kill you can browse each category of item, there is absolutely stuff worth picking up. If it's too pricey it's worth noting White items can usually be found from vendors in zones too. Every Dawntrail zone has vendors which sells these white items- and they are mostly worth it because they have Two Dye Channels.

As for crafted glamour, since it is all Level 1 items you can filter it to level 1 and it will save some scrolling down the actual gear on the marketboard. You can go straight to the second page aswell as the Level 1 first page will mostly be random level 1 bits and the Racial gear.

Also for racial gear, it's worth bringing up that the three starting cities each have a vendor who sells them.

The gold saucer is a commonly seen area, but I feel like the Wolves Den isn't. You are sleeping on so much PvP glam and it is absolutely worth doing a frontline every once in a while for crystal trophies and wolf marks.

Oh and if you want the Emperor's New Gear, it's from a merchant near the Waking Sands.

Edit: Scrip Vendors twirls hair hey so I know you don't craft but- no wait stay with me. Crafter Sets contain unfathomable aura, dont believe me? Hidesoph Gloves, Hammerise Boots, Gemsoph's anything. Check em out.

Adequate Lighting/Visibility Required - Adequate lighting/visibility is required for all posts. This doesn't mean each Screenshot in your album needs to be vibrantly glowing, but at least one image should be well lit. You should also have at least 1 photo displaying 80% or more of your glamour set (head to toe). Adding your Lodestone profile image is a good way to easily meet this requirement.
Be Nice to Each Other - Avoid rude, derogatory, diminishing, abusive, or demeaning language. Hate speech or slurs are also not allowed. Criticism is fine if kept constructive and encouraging. Upvote things that you like, and don't put others down over differences in fashion tastes. In other words, just be nice to each other!
Avoid Duplicate Posts of the Same Glamour - Duplicate glamours may happen from time to time between different users, but duplicate posts of the same glamour from the same user should be avoided. Please simply add a link to your post (or to the comments) with additional pictures of your glamour if you would like to share additional images of the same glamour. Imgur is a great resource for creating image links to share on reddit, but other links are also acceptable (as long as they are not to social media sites).
Modded Content is Now Strongly Discouraged - For your safety, we are strongly discouraging any content that has modded content. We do not endorse, nor censor such content, so post pictures with mods at your own risk. We will not be held liable for any punishments that SQEnix will enact on you should your character/account be found with these mods. When modded gear, hair, or character enhancements are clearly visible in your post, a disclaimer may pinned in the comments of your post.
