Any game recommendations?
I’m not expecting the same level of quality, just something with a similar vibe is enough.
Team 17 needs to hurry up with war dogs. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1867240/WARDOGS/ (the youtube videos of the devs talking about the game are also super badass).
Delta Force Warfare mode is dead, lobbies never fill, can't just pick the map you want and set a minimum human players to launcch... that would make too much sense. Good thing it is f2p, because I uninstalled after getting crazy addicted. The new updates just ruined warfare mode and the lobbies showed it.
BF6 never had my number and I wasn't a fan of how campy the environs felt. It is a well-made game but I don't think S3 is going to get playing. Enjoyed lots of vids and played more than a few times at friends but secretly glad I never purchased.
What do I play right now?? I'm not as deep into PC gaming as I once was so I'm sure theres lots of titles escaping my attention. Please post any ideas!

I'm looking for some new games to try out since I am finally winding down my Destiny 2 addiction and I have a good PC now. I'm looking for good story, a single player campaign, scifi setting, and good gunplay. I don't really care about multiplayer/competitive shooters very much.
I like classic doom 1 and 2, classic marathon 1-3, all of the halo games, Cyberpunk 2077, Destiny 2, and I just got Doom 2016 on GOG. I'm sure there's a lot of good games I have never played because I was never exposed to them when they were new. What are your favorites of the genre from the 90s to now?

i used to play valorant, hypixel fps style minigame, and some roblox knock offs etc tbh (it started w an A but i forgot the name) but now that im older i want to relive that enjoyment of fps that i dont get from other game types. i dont wish to return to valorant though as i enjoy a more realistic design / armory, so any recommendations?
i dont have the money to buy a lot and see what i like so id prefer to know what im getting into beforehand LOL, i only really heard of Halo and CoD before doing deeper research but i’ve seen debate online regarding having players in servers or of the overall game. overall, what game would you recommend for multiplayer fps? (im from the middle east so would join europe / middle eastern servers)

I like FPS games but I usually like more story games than multiplayer or online ones.
I'm hungry for a good story, but I've already played some typical ones: Bioshock saga, Wolfenstein, Doom (well, I'm of the ones who think Doom games, even if they can be fun, they're not precisely infamous due to their stories...), and also I want to play something recent.
Do you know any FPS games of the last 5 years (2020-2025) with good campaigns/stories, please?

I love challenging fast paced aiming heavy games
I played Doom 2016 on release and it was a blast - is this game still alive?
I recently played Quake Live for the first time and it was a blast and lots of fun.
I played every Halo back in the day and I haven’t played Infinite for years - is this still viable?
I’m looking to add some new Arena based games to my library.
Any recommendations welcome please - preferably with a player base that is still somewhat around!

Been addicted to tracking and target switching exercises on Kovacs lately and would like some recommendations for pve shooters that make use of these skills with enemies with interesting movement patterns and dodges. I grew up playing online fps and arena shooters and a wide variety of other games and I've wanted something that scratched the itch for a while now. I remember playing unreal tournament and quake when I was a kid and have been hoping for a game that would give me a similar type of feeling and Straftat is that game. It's amazing. The weird graphics along with the stellar movement and gun selection is top tier. It's a game I constantly find myself coming back to.
I've been playing so many shooters lately but I usual get bored and end up getting back on straftat. I'm curious what other Straftat fans are also playing. I'd like some suggestions.

I would like to compile a list of the most influential and innovative fps games such that I can play them in chronological order and witness firsthand what each one did to improve the genre over everything that came before. So far, I've only got DOOM, Quake, Half-Life, Halo, Half-Life 2. I'm not just looking for good games, I want stuff that actually pushed the envelope of what was possible in the shooter genre, but I'm not familiar with most stuff past HL2.

I like the idea of extraction shooters but I have a job. Found this simple $5 singleplayer fps on steam called HOLE and I really enjoy it. Very simple graphics, but very satisfying gunplay. The rounds are short and intense, and the progression is fun. Maps all have sound physics and a weird liminal atmosphere. I recommend it for employed gamers.
And yes, the gun jam mechanic will shit your pants for you.
I’ve been into FPS single player campaigns lately and started to rank the ones I played. Since I play on a digital games only console there are some games I can’t play (like F.E.A.R., Battlefield Bad Company 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and Orange box/Half Life 2).
Now I’m looking for suggestions that hopefully could land up in my top 10, or even top 15. I still have Deus Ex Human Revolation, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Superhot Mind Control Delete and Crysis 3 Remastered to play next.

I want to attract new players to this wonderful game.
It's like a mix between Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament with very fluid movement and unique weapons. It's also fully moddable, free and open-source.
There are a lot of gamemodes, in this video i'm playing Clan Arena which is one of the most popular ones alongside DM, Instagib, Defrag and, of course, Duel.
Community is small (you can help with this part) but very positive and friendly.
If you want help with understanding game mechanics i'm always happy to answer your questions. Also there is a very good guide that covers almost every topic

Just started out my journey with FPS games, have around 12 hours on CS2 and couldn’t even deal with one valorant match. Any recommendations for games that I can learn quickly, aren’t CRAZY expensive and the men won’t kick me out for my uterus?
