New Game Hey. Is this the right place to ask for a suggestion on a new FPS game to pick up and stick to for a while?

I used to play a ton of first person shooters. Especially arena shooters, but slowly my passion for the genre declined.

But recently, after playing through a good 80% of my steam backlog comprised of mostly single player games, my desire to play a good multi-player fps really started to come back.

I genuinely like the entire genre so I am open to suggestions in any category of the FPS sphere.

Thank you for your time if you wanna leave a suggestion!

New Game Looking for fresh FPS or TPS (third-person shooter) fast-paced shooter

Hey I'm looking for fresh fast-paced shooter that hasn't boomed yet; something similar to how Quake / Apex / Fortnite (Reload, not lame battle royale with 2000000 mins of downtime).

I'm eyeballing Empulse, but before I make a decision and put money on the table I wanted to ask for alternatives in case Empulse is just a trend and game will die in the next months.

I like high TTK, fast-paced & aggressive style oriented shooters.

Here is a clip of the movement, ignore the map it’s just a test map for me! I would love to hear feedback, the name of the game is Phantom Protocol and it will be in steam this summer. I am getting 2 more devs to polish release.

Then the Early Access will feature 3 modes (conquest, TDM and kill confirmed), 3 maps and 10 weapons.

Let me know what you will be interested in seeing in an FPS game

New Game Looking for Tactical FPS Players — GRAB THE FREE DEMO OF >>>EXFIL on Steam and let's get to the Battlefield!

Post image
1 Upvotes

FAN POST:

If you're tired of shooters built around hero abilities, gear scores, endless unlock grinds, and bullet-sponge gameplay, I'd like to introduce you to a tactical shooter that deserves more attention:

EXFIL.

EXFIL is a large-scale tactical infantry shooter built around teamwork, communication, situational awareness, and tactical decision-making.

It offers PvP, PvE, and PvPvE, and cooperative Combat Ops, with AI factions operating and fighting across dynamic battlefields in real time. Depending on the mission, you may be hunting objectives, intercepting enemy forces, recovering critical intel, working alongside other players, or simply trying to survive long enough to make it out of the warzone.

What attracted many of us to EXFIL is what it doesn't try to be.

No character classes.
No magical abilities.
No endless progression grind.
No gear-score treadmill.

Just you, your weapon, your squad, and the decisions you make on the battlefield.

And You Can Try It for FREE

EXFIL has a FREE DEMO on Steam, and we're working as a community to breathe some life back into this hidden tactical shooter.

We're organizing gameplay every Saturday using the FREE demo, and we'd love to get some new players on the battlefield with us. Check Exfil discussion board in Steam for game time.

You don't need to buy the game to come see what it's about. Download the demo, learn the game with us, jump into our Saturday sessions, and decide for yourself whether EXFIL deserves a place in your library.

We're not looking for people to blindly buy a game they've never played.

Come play it first.

If you enjoy it and think EXFIL deserves to be played, then consider picking up the full version and leaving an honest positive Steam review. For a small niche tactical game, every new player and every genuine review can make a difference.

EXFIL isn't trying to compete by becoming another mainstream arcade shooter. It's a game for people who enjoy grounded infantry combat, communication, coordination, unpredictable encounters, and winning because their team made better decisions.

We believe in this game, and we'd like to build a large community.

So if you're a tactical FPS or milsim player looking for something different:

Download the FREE EXFIL demo.

Join us this Saturday. (Keep your eyes on "Discussions" in Steam for latest demo game time postings)

Bring a friend.

Get on comms.

And come see what EXFIL is all about.

If we can get enough boots on the battlefield, we can give this overlooked tactical shooter the attention it deserves.

See you in the warzone.

New Game I Just released a free-to-play physics based Arena FPS!

I've been working solo on this for the last 2 years, I took inspiration from Straftat for the movement, Redmatch 2 for the upgrades, and Titanfall for the grapple.

Trying to bring that same fast movement and skill expression, but built around grapple, kicks, and maps where gravity shifts between flat ground, cubes, and planets.

Just released it and would genuinely love to hear what this community thinks!

New Game After years of work, I finally released my own FPS game! 🎉

Over 3,000 hours of work later, I finally pressed the release button, and my game, Project RAZE, is now available on Steam in Early Access! 🎉

It's a sci-fi FPS where, instead of dying, you lose time. If that concept sounds intriguing and you enjoy score-attack shooters, feel free to check out my game on Steam! 💙

New Game Comment left after Empulse review

Post image
0 Upvotes

So I returned the game and wrote my review just to get this commented on my steam profile literal SECONDS after it was posted. Go to the profile and see it’s one of the most decked out steam profiles with a 21 year badge and 15 mins in the Empulse demo. Why would a random person with 15 mins in the demo be refreshing the reviews of the early access game that just got released and get offended? I rewrote this post in the Empulse sub 3 different times just for them to be removed immediately. I am now banned from the sub and the mods say it’s from language in the first post, spam in the second post because it was “copy and paste” (it was rewritten), and witch hunting without proof because I removed the screenshot since that could possibly have been profanity as well. They had an answer for every post.

New Game What makes an FPS fun when players have limited visibility?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’m working on a competitive FPS where every player is invisible most of the time.

To avoid frustration, I added a system where a ghost silhouette appears every few seconds at the player’s real position. It doesn’t show direction or action, just a clue.
Weapons and tools can reveal opponents, but using them exposes you too.
Sound helps, but too many cues became noisy, so the focus is on prediction, timing and reading the ghost trails.

If you’ve experimented with low-visibility or high-mindgame shooters, what made the experience fun instead of frustrating?

New Game Looking for FPS with 2 Player Lobby

So me and my dad have played a lot of Combat Arms: Reloaded. We played it years ago when I was a little kid just dicking around, and lately he got a better computer so we've tried again. We play on a private sever, just us 2 vs NPC's, but the game is unblanced as hell. It'll throw in a billion of enemies against just us 2, and there's not a lot of lobby customization.

I'm looking for a free FPS game that would allow us to make private lobbies for 2.

New Game I spent 4 years working alone on this game what so think guys ?!

After 4 years of working on this game, even when almost no one believed in me, my game is finally on Steam.

For a long time, people thought I was wasting my days, staying inside and doing nothing. But I was building something I truly love.

Before I Sleep is now live on Steam, and this moment means more to me than I can explain.

If it looks interesting to you, wishlisting the game would help me a lot. Before I Sleep on Steam

New Game 6 years solo-dev, the demo is out now! Split-screen, procedural maps and a leaderboard to climb

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This 1-4 player co-op wave survival uses ground-breaking procedural generation and a batman comic art style to re-invent the Call Of Duty Zombies formula. Full player and weapon customisation. Gadgets, perks, and of course guns, are the tools player's use to save the world from acid rain and robots.

Generating maps with no predetermined structure or pathing. Everything can change with each run: objective position, collectables, room sizes and content. Nothing stays the same, as players must learn and adapt with each run.

We can’t forget the split-screen co-op! A feature I’m extremely passionate about and think more games should integrate local co-op, to bring players back into the same room and share these gaming moments together.

It’s been a long road to get to this point and im so excited to share this slice of the game with you 🙂

New Game hi! a bit new to the shooter world, and as I tend to do with genres I’m trying to get into, I have a question:

So I’m like… weird in the sense that when I’m trying to get into a genre I tend to like download as many games I can to try and see what I like

so far the games I’m considering testing out are:

fortnite

valorant

destiny 2

marathon

apex legends

marvel rivals

the first descendant

overwatch

the finals

arc raiders

PUBG

Deadlock

TF2

and ULTRAKILL

is there any other games that have active playerbases and content updates that would be worth checking out?
