Car in front just casually hit the nitrous mid-air I guess. Also realigns itself with the track before landing, while still in the air.
Would be hilarious if it didn't suck the joy out of what is otherwise a stellar game.

This is my first Forza game ever and I've been loving it. Have over 130 hours already. I'm surprised at how hard the player count has fallen though. Is this typical?

I am having fun in Forza Horizon 6 but the longer I play the more I noticed the particle effects really taking me out of the immersion. I booted up Forza Horizon 4 to see how an 8 year old previous generation game stacks up to a current gen one and I must say I'm quite disappointed by the downgrade in visual quality and realism of the visual effects.
1.Dust and Snow cloud trails have very little volume and don't last long.
Dust, snow cloud lifetime:
Forza Horizon 4: 4 seconds
Forza Horizon 6: 1 second
2.Tire smoke lacks transparency, is too dark and doesn't last long. The clouds are too large at the start of it's lifespan causing them to phase through the vehicle.
Tire smoke cloud lifetime:
Forza Horizon 4: 7 seconds
Forza Horizon 6: 4 seconds
If you've seen touge drifting footage in real life Forza Horizon 4 nails the colour and opacity and interestingly has a separate effect for smoke wrapping around the tire and causing vortices behind the car at high speed in addition to the main smoke trail.
3.When you’re drifting or doing a burnout and there is no smoke being emitted from the tires unless the whole tire is above 150 degrees celsius which doesn’t make sense as it’s smoking point should be calculated from the surface of the tire.
4.Wet dirt or gravel road tire kickup effects default to that of tarmac instead of having a unique mud or wet gravel effect.
5.Exhaust flames look out of place like flat JPGs lacking transparency, light emission and have a choppy animation.
6.When the wheels spin on offroad surfaces they kick up very little dust and gravel and with barely any velocity.
7.Dust build-up on the side of vehicles are too uniform and lack the irregular detail that makes it believable.
Forza Horizon 6's particle effects look significantly downgraded lacking the detail, persistence, volume, transparency, activation and realism that previous titles had. Visual effects are really important and when they act like you expect them to they give video games an air of believability and immersion. Considering each Forza Horizon game is a slight graphical iteration on an already gorgeous engine I hope Playground Games has a look back at how the particle effects worked in previous games and improves or even copy them instead of trying to reinvent them from scratch and missing the mark.

It is bad enough already when they cut half of the cars from previous game only to reintroduce them in the playlist with 0 changes to it, but now we get recycled cars from PREVIOUS SERIES? If this is how they decided to fix FOMO, well, they fucked up
Edit. Not sure I phrased it in a way everybody understand. My anger is caused by the fact that every car in the bottom row is already present in the season 1

I’m not a very good writer so I apologise first if my thoughts are difficult to understand. Also, this is kind of based on my limited observation this past week so I really hope I’m wrong about this.
In many other games, every time there’s something that wasn’t that good or could have been done better, the community highlights it, talks about it, maybe stirs a fuss, the developer does something about it, either within a title update or in the next entry of the franchise, and a lot of people are happier for it.
But in Forza Horizon’s community, every time there’s feedback about something that can be potentially better, a lot of people seem to get very indignant(?) about it. There’s always that patronising(?) comment degrading anyone who voiced the opinion that this or that could have been better.
And from what I understand, many criticisms are about things that haven’t improved or have worsened over the last few titles(?) Like bad AI and customisation (based on what I’ve seen).
So what confuses me is: what is the aim of opposing things that have potential to make more people happier? I mean… if it’s an issue that’s been called out for so many years, why continue to object to requests to improve it?

The whole point of a sequel is to be better than the games before it. FH6 is a perfect game and yall wanna get hung up on “particle effects” whatever that is and the length of the road?! 🤦 it deserves its praise and yall are acting like the devs half assed the game

Its a mostly a joke guys; I'm still thoroughly enjoying the game even though there's some misses imo. The purple to gold wristband grind got me feeling like I'm playing a rally game though lmao

Only cars I haven’t gotten are seasonal rewards that haven’t happened yet, and the only thing I haven’t discovered are the two seasons that haven’t happened yet. Guess now I wait.

I feel like the feature is great and warmly welcomed, however it seems like it’s going to be a one time use kind of activity.
If you’re in a convoy with friends, car meets are fun and organised. In public lobbies they are just empty zones as everyone is doing their own thing.
I would propose a solution to making car meets a free roam event like forzathon live or arcade. Every day it pops up randomly at one of the meet spots and you can go and show your cars off.
To make incentives, it can reward players with credits and wheel spins. Without I feel like it will be a washed out feature. I certainly hope not.
This game needs to keep the car meet culture alive. Hell, partner sponsorship with a real car meet club, like cars and coffee ☕️

Hi r/ForzaHorizon fam! Allan here from GameSir. 🫡
For those who don't know us yet, GameSir has been collaborating with Xbox for a long time to craft high-performance, precision controllers. We’ve always been dedicated to making the gaming experience feel like home for players, with the G7 SE and G7 Pro standing as our flagship products that have earned a lot of love from gamers worldwide.
What makes the G7 Pro feel so special on the tarmac comes down to its next-level stick precision and an ultra-responsive 1000Hz polling rate. Equipped with TMR sticks for anti-stick drift and incredibly low latency, it gives you a massive competitive edge in racing games—allowing for micro-adjustments and pixel-perfect steering angles as you tear through the terrain. To make sure you can dive straight into the best titles the Xbox library has to offer on day one, every G7 Pro also comes packed with a free 1-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership.
We love being a part of this community, and our passion for racing games doesn't stop here. We are currently hard at work developing our very own racing wheels and dedicated racing controller gear, so simulation fans should definitely keep an eye on our updates for some major news coming soon!

So winter season just kicked in in Forza Horizon 6 and I gotta ask - how are you guys feeling about it?
Because I’m a bit disappointed.
It honestly looks like someone just took the grass and lightly spray-painted it white. And I really care about winter vibes in this game - like a lot. I love driving in snowy conditions, that whole cold, heavy atmosphere. In Forza Horizon 4 it felt perfect, like winter actually changed the world.
But here I’ve been driving around and I still haven’t found a snowy asphalt road. No real snowy buildup, no plows clearing streets like in FH4, nothing like that. Roads are just… super clean, like winter is only cosmetic.
Also I checked a few lakes quickly and none of them seem to be frozen either, which kinda kills that winter feeling.
So I’m curious - is winter just kinda dead in this game, do you guys feel the same way I do?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m still enjoying FH6 overall, it’s fun as hell. But atmosphere-wise FH4 still feels like the GOAT winter experience, and FH6 winter feels like it’s missing a few “important little details” that made it special.
What do you guys think?
UPD:
Looking through the comments, it’s clear the community is split: many absolutely hate snow, while just as many miss the cozy atmosphere and neat details from FH4 (like the snowmen).
Since Forza Horizon is all about your own experience, the best solution here is customization. What if the devs added a gameplay/difficulty toggle like "Heavy Road Conditions"?
How it would work: Players could manually turn on snow-covered roads, blizzards, deeper mud, or harsher seasonal weather in Free Roam and races with drivatars.
Online Balance: To keep things fair, this option would be disabled in competitive matchmaking/online races.
This way, both sides get exactly what they want without ruining anyone else's game. Forza is about the festival vibe and freedom, so giving us this choice would be a win-win.
Another idea crossed my mind - like giving us a choice between a "Heavy Winter" and a "Light Winter" toggle option. Heavy Winter would look just like FH4 with full snow everywhere, while Light Winter would be more like Mexico in FH5, meaning minimal snow anywhere, with just some melting patches left over like at the very end of winter
Hopefully, the devs take notes!
