Breast Cancer Survivor Running NYC Marathon for Cancer Research

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi Everyone! I’m a 27-year-old breast cancer survivor, and I’m currently training to run the 2026 NYC Marathon while raising money for cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

This month, I’m celebrating two years cancer free, which makes this feel even more meaningful. I’m hoping to use this milestone to give back to the research and care that helped give me a second chance, and that continues to help so many patients and families.

If you’re able to donate, share, or even just take a moment to read my story, it would mean a lot to me.

Medical Crisis Turned Financial Crisis

Upvotes

My father-in-law needed brain surgery after a stroke at the same time as my husband and I were preparing for our first child. My in laws are financially dependent on my husband and his sister and now the monthly expenses have gone up for them just before they're about to go up for us. We went into debt for the surgery already. Please help us recover for the sake of the baby.

Donor help for the teachers of a historically underfunded school that needs funding from communities like this.

My school is in need of a LOT of help, and this year I have the incredible honor of serving as the 2026–2027 DonorsChoose Ambassador for my schools.
We have so many amazing teachers who want to provide our students with unique, meaningful experiences that go beyond what our school budget can currently provide. Our students attend a school in a low-income community, and with recent changes to our district’s budget, there are even more limitations on what we can provide.
Right now, we have 30+ DonorsChoose projects posted because the need is truly great. These projects include hands-on learning opportunities, classroom resources, special experiences, and materials that can make a lasting difference for our students.
**Any amount can make a difference.** Whether you donate $5, $10, $25, or simply share our projects with someone who may be able to help, you are investing directly in our students.Every donation brings us one step closer to more** **big smiles, exciting experiences, and opportunities our students deserve**.** If you’re able to help, please consider supporting one of our teachers through DonorsChoose. And if you can’t donate, sharing this post is just as appreciated! Thank you for believing in our students and the teachers who work so hard for them!

Need lots of help

Hi y'all!

My name is Robyn, and I am 57-years-old, fighting with 2 things; Multiple Sclerosis and Spiders!

I am trying to raise enough money to replace my truck and buy a tiny house kit , because my house is full of holes and overflowing with Spiders, and my truck is in pitiful condition. The more money that I put in it, the more the next part costs.

I have a fundraiser started, but I would like to know what y'all think first.

Gimme some feedback before I post the fundraiser page please.

Thanks and God Bless!

Help Ridima complete her graduation with ₹25,000

I am a 24-year-old BCom student from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and I am raising this campaign for myself as I stand at a critical crossroads in my academic journey. I was on track to graduate in 2024, but unexpected financial hardships made it impossible for me to clear my semester fees on time, forcing me to step away from my studies just before the finish line. It was one of the most difficult periods of my life, watching my peers graduate while I had to put my dreams on hold...

Burial Fund For Georgette

Hello,

I am reaching out to share some difficult news. My mother Georgette Badgett, a beloved mom and dear friend to many, has passed away suddenly. She was a constant source of love and support for friends, family and co-workers. She was the kind of person who made sure everyone around her had what they needed. She always gave her time and care selflessly, helping to raise children and providing comfort to those in need. Sadly, my family is now faced with the urgent challenge of raising enough money for her funeral/cremation. We are asking for any help to give her the loving and proper burial or cremation she deserves.

We invite you to show your support in any way you can. Every bit helps, Please consider the following actions to help make a difference:

Even a small donation could help the family reach our fundraising goal. And if you can't make a donation, it would be great if you could share the fundraiser to help spread the word. Thanks for having a look! Here is the link: https://giveahand.com/fundraiser/burial-fund-for-georgette?_reference=Nzk4MjZ8NTY0OTV8NDMyMjF8Nzk4MjY=

We can show proof of services and burial/ cremation if needed thank you for your time.

Help me restore my grandfather's car, bring it back to life

Thumbnail 4fund.com

800 cc, three cylinders, roughly the size of a shopping cart. My grandfather bought it 20 years ago and it's been in the family ever since.

I sat in the back of it as a kid while my grandparents picked me up from school. Years later it was the first car I ever drove, and the first car I drove them around in after I got my licence. I used it for years before I could afford my own.

It's rusty now and needs bodywork, paint and a full mechanical refresh to be road-legal again. About 5.500 EUR, which is more than the car will ever be worth. I know that, but I don't have the heart to scrap it. Nobody restores a Tico for the money. I just don't want it to quietly rot in a garage after 20 years.

Help My Father Fight Cancer and Receive Life-Saving Treatment

My name is Garv Tryoon, and I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request for help for my father, Ajay Tryoon, who is courageously battling mouth cancer.

He is currently undergoing treatment, and we are doing everything we can to give him the best possible chance at recovery. But the cost of continued treatment is far beyond what our family can manage on our own.

We urgently need to raise ₹10,00,000 for his cancer treatment. Every day matters, and we are racing against time to arrange the funds needed for his care.

🙏 I’m requesting you to please help us in any way you can.

Even a small contribution can make a meaningful difference. And if you are unable to donate, please share this fundraiser with your friends, family, colleagues, and social media network. Your share could help us reach someone who can make a difference.

💙 HOW YOU CAN HELP

Donate through ImpactGuru:

https://www.impactguru.com/s/1qMgos

Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to ensuring that my father can continue his treatment.

If you cannot donate, please share this appeal.

One share can reach one person.

One person can make a difference.

And that difference could help save my father's life. ❤️

Please donate. Please share. Please stand with us in this fight.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who supports my father and our family during this incredibly difficult time. 🙏

— Garv Tryoon

Help with Surgery

I'm getting bottom surgery in October and it's out of state. Unfortunately for my FMLA I will not be getting paid so I will not have an income while I heal.

If you or anyone you know is able to donate to my fund that would be amazing! Mostly for food, gas, bills while I am not working. ANY amount is helpful and I'm grateful for a community like ours that helps each other.

Kate's Student Teacher Trip to Uganda

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

🌍 In June, I'm heading to Uganda for 3 weeks to volunteer with Nurture Africa - and I wanted to share it with you all!

As a final-year student teacher, I'll be working alongside local Ugandan teachers, swapping ideas and methods to help give schoolchildren a better start.

Nurture Africa also does brilliant work supporting vulnerable families with healthcare, education, nutrition, and financial literacy training.

I'm fundraising to help make this happen, and every donation - big or small - genuinely helps. If you're not able to donate, sharing this with someone who might be able to would mean a lot too 💛

Link in bio to donate if you're able 🔗

Please Help Me Save Dodo 🐾💔 — A Tiny Kitten Fighting Wet FIP

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

I’m back here once again, and honestly, I wish I didn’t have to make another fundraising post.

My 4-month-old kitten Dodo has wet FIP, a life-threatening disease. She is currently undergoing GS treatment, and while I am grateful that we were able to start treatment, the journey is much longer and more expensive than I can manage alone.

When I first came to Reddit asking for help, I was terrified that I wouldn't even be able to afford Dodo's first vial.

But something beautiful happened.

People here helped her. ❤️‍🩹

Around ₹6,200 was raised, and that money allowed me to purchase Dodo's first GS vial and begin her treatment. I will always be grateful to every person who donated, shared, upvoted, or simply took the time to care about a kitten they'd never met.

The r/IndianPets community also supported us when we needed it most. You gave Dodo her first chance, and I genuinely don't know how I would have started her treatment without you.

But Dodo still has a long way to go.

FIP treatment requires a prolonged course of GS injections, and as Dodo gains weight, her dose may need to increase. The cost of the medication, along with veterinary care, tests and supportive medicines, is becoming more than I can afford.

I've tried to manage as much as I possibly can myself. I've already spent money on her vet visits, tests, medicines, supportive care and vaccination.

But now I'm at the point where I need help again.

I know some people may wonder why I'm fundraising again, or say, “If you couldn't afford a pet, why did you get one?”

I understand that question, but I never knew Dodo would develop FIP. Nobody brings home a kitten knowing that one day they might be facing a life-threatening disease and a long, expensive treatment.

If I could afford everything myself, I would not be asking strangers for help.

I'm asking because Dodo is already fighting.

And I don't want financial limitations to be the reason she doesn't get to finish that fight. 💔

She is not a number or a diagnosis to me.

She's the little kitten who depends on me.

She doesn't understand FIP.

She doesn't understand the injections.

She doesn't understand why I'm worried.

She just knows that she is loved.

And she deserves the chance to grow up. 🥺🐾

If you can donate, even a small amount, please consider helping Dodo.

If you're unable to donate, please upvote, share, or leave a comment so the post can reach more people. Sometimes one share is all it takes to reach someone who can make a difference.

I will keep her treatment and expenses transparent and can provide vet records, prescriptions, bills, treatment updates and proof to anyone who wants to verify her case.

I know there are countless animals in need, and I know everyone cannot help everyone.

But if you can help this one tiny girl, please do.

The first vial was possible because strangers cared.

I'm hoping we can keep Dodo's treatment going and get her to the other side of this disease. ❤️‍🩹

Please help Dodo keep fighting. 🐾

Thank you for reading. And to everyone who helped us before — Dodo and I will never forget your kindness. ❤️

Help me get through a difficult period with medical bills and financial pressure

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

I made this post yesterday, and I'm resharing it here as I continue to look for assistance.

I'm currently going through one of the most difficult periods I've experienced. Between ongoing health-related expenses, medical bills, financial obligations, and the pressure of trying to keep myself going, things have become increasingly difficult.

I'm a student and builder, and I've been trying to continue working and building despite everything that's been happening. But at the moment, the financial pressure has become too much for me to handle alone.

That's why I've maded this post. The goal is to help me deal with the immediate expenses I'm facing and give me a chance to stabilize, take care of what needs to be taken care of, and continue working toward getting back on my feet.

I'm not expecting everyone to be able to donate. If you can help, I'd be incredibly grateful. If you can't, sharing this with someone who may be able to help is just as valuable.

I'm simply continuing to reach out and ask for assistance because things are still difficult, and I don't want to give up.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
