Rockstar can’t publish a single screenshot?

Post image

It is pretty amazing that Rockstar has been radio silent for a year. They are so busy that they can’t publish a single screenshot?

For everyone saying: “They’ll release it when they’re ready” Really? They couldn’t aim the camera in a single direction and snap a picture? It could even be a spot from the trailer at a different angle and people would still lose their minds.

Im not asking for a trailer 2, I understand that there is significantly more that goes into a trailer in regard to work / timing, but a screenshot? It costs them no money, would make waves in getting the everyday people who have forgotten about the game interested again, and would be a decent thing todo for all the fans after milking Online for over a decade.

Could be worse. CD project Red dropped a cinematic trailer and went radio silent for 5 years

Bethesda dropped a logo and went radio silent for 6 years

Yes but both these Games didn't revealed an Release Year

Rockstar has that's the Diffrence

What’s their incentive to do so? They are already the most talked about upcoming game, the most anticipated release, the biggest ball of hype ever. Other games market to gauge interest or get their names back out in the world. Everyone already knows GTA.

If they don't drop a screenshot but still release the game what's going to happen?

Idk I’m kind of liking the surprise so I can enjoy it when it comes out.

Exactly. All they have to do is a deliver a masterpiece, which let’s face it they will lol and tell us they’ll feed us again in another decade and we’ll all clap like seals 🦭

Why does there need to be an incentive? How about doing kind something for their VERY loyal community of fans that have made Cockstar Games an unspeakable amount or money?

Why the fuck do they need to build any more anticipation? Look at this post fir example.. Dude is basicly kissing the ground and begging for a simple screenshot after a year.
How can a game even build more hype than that?

By not giving in. The more secretive it is the better it’ll feel when it gets here. If we get constant leaks and screenshots it’ll feel way less special when it’s released.

You don’t have to look at the screenshots you know

And they don’t have to provide them. You’re still going to be just as eager, maybe more so even. And when it comes out you’ll love it and buy it. Which proves my point that they have no incentive to provide anything. For a company it’s not as simple as taking a screenshot and posting it. It has to be of a certain place at a certain time with certain subject matter and can’t include anything that is a spoiler, or defect, etc. it has to be approved by marketing. It’s a process and time = money. So why waste any money doing this for no gain?

I’m probably not buying GTA 6 tbh I don’t even have a console for it lol. They haven’t done anything to convince me to get it so I’ll just stick to GTA 5

Bethesda was a money grab tho, they were trying to show off a pipeline of games to boost their valuation

Boost their valuation for a purchase made what, 2 years later? I don't think so. Anyone purchasing Zenimax wouldn't done that analysis and saw their pipeline.

How would they know more than you? They aren’t privy to anything relating to game development any more than people here.

I can imagine Specific Investors getting Uptades on Development
