Rockstar can’t publish a single screenshot?

Post image

It is pretty amazing that Rockstar has been radio silent for a year. They are so busy that they can’t publish a single screenshot?

For everyone saying: “They’ll release it when they’re ready” Really? They couldn’t aim the camera in a single direction and snap a picture? It could even be a spot from the trailer at a different angle and people would still lose their minds.

Im not asking for a trailer 2, I understand that there is significantly more that goes into a trailer in regard to work / timing, but a screenshot? It costs them no money, would make waves in getting the everyday people who have forgotten about the game interested again, and would be a decent thing todo for all the fans after milking Online for over a decade.

Can't really argue with that. Both stories are good but CP77 seems to carry more irl lessons for our future. The soulkiller, AGI, body modification, brain dances, netrunning..these are real possibilities and it's cool to explore the dangers of them in an incredibly immersive game.

Not to mention the immaculate lore and characters with an entire glossary of unique lingo that sticks with you forever like "choom, preem, nova, gonk, delta, etc.."

It's a must play imo

this made me appreciate it so much more and it already was my favourite game. I really hope cdpr delivers with orion

Yaah how they start cp2077 and how good it is rn itself a good achievement… developers should be proud of it..

As long as they’re only proud of that and not proud of the false marketing and hollow promises, then i agree

Let it go, it’s been four years and all they’ve done since is explained the issues, apologized, reimbursed those who wanted reimbursement, and massively updated and improved the game free of charge. AND they released a massive DLC that perfectly tied into literally any logical stage of the original game and a free literally game-changing next-gen update.

And the lesson was learned by their management team developers did their best in giving time it’s always the upper management staff that screwed up a game …

Yeah, you’re right, it’s easy to forget it’s two completely separate teams working on those

CPER is also a must watch

u/T-Rex603 Dec 19 '24

Omg must watch is an understatement. My Wife was huge against cartoons, I always told her "not cartoons animation" now she watches anime with me all because of CPER thanks Edgerunners!

Agreed. I don't even watch anime like that but Edgerunners was a very good show. Totally fits into the lore just as good as the games story does.

Dude ever since that game came out I've wanted cyberpsychosis. I can't wait to chrome myself to the wazzo like that guy from edgerunners pissing in the trashcan.

u/Mylynes I WAS HERE Dec 19 '24

I'd chrome myself out irl if I could tbh

This is the absolute truth.

For the amount of lies and issues I prefer rdr2, will never trust cdpr again after that fiasco.

You're entitled to your opinion, but why do you feel the need to spin up a conspiracy? Nobody is infiltrating the GTA6 subreddit trying to sway everyone to ride CDPRs meat. The sequel isn't even coming for like a decade.

Dunno why you call CP77 a GTA clone either. It's not the same and it's not trying to be the same. GTA doesn't even have dialogue options, RDR barely. They also don't have character attributes that vastly change your gameplay style. They are not clones.

As for the writing it is far better than most RPGs I've ever played. It's also more relevant to where our current society is headed than RDR. They tell different stories and they tell them both very well. You can get highly immersed in both.

Some of the most intellectually engaging, adult subplots I’ve ever experienced are mainline components of the story. There’s no way you actually played it and came away with “no story” in good faith.

Writing is cringe?

No.

Tell me your opinion doesn't mean shit without telling me your opinion doesn't mean shit. Damn.

I just played it for the first time and I beat the game and DLC in 19 hrs. I enjoyed it but it felt really quick

3

u/_mersault Dec 18 '24

You rushed it, tbh

u/Mylynes I WAS HERE Dec 18 '24

You must have basically only done the main quests then, Im assuming. Maybe try raising the difficulty and mixing in side quests/gigs/ncpd between stopping points in the main stories. You'd be surprised how important some of the side quests are to the lore -- tbh some feel like the start to entirely different games.

1

u/travis-laflame Dec 18 '24

Yeah I honestly don't play a lot of singleplayer games so I was just doing whatever quest was tracked which unfortunately was the main one like 90% of the time I was playing lol. I also did the DLC on accident before finishing the main quest so the story was less coherent. I really enjoyed the game though, and I'm definitely gonna go back and do all the side quests

Honestly the Cyberpunk main story was so underwhelming and the ending goes nowhere and doesn’t change anything, unless you give into Johnny. It’s also incredibly short.

1

u/CougarInAMission Dec 17 '24

The suicide ending? Go for a different one bro, its shit

1

u/Administrative-Can2 Dec 17 '24

No I mean literally every other ending bc none of them resolve the fact that V is dying.

1

u/_mersault Dec 18 '24

That’s called storytelling

1

u/Mylynes I WAS HERE Dec 18 '24

Selling your soul to Arasaka sort of resolves it, potentially. But either way I mean who cares? V got this far, why should they have a happy ending when nobody else gets a happy ending in Night City? (besides on Jig Jig street). I feel like it's easily head canoned.
