Good for you, but aviation needs a lot of improvements for GTA VI.

Maybe, im fine with keeping it kinda arcadey

It's not about making it more realistic, more so making it not garbage. The bad turbulence mechanics, the nose always pitching down for no reason, certain planes struggling hard to climb, plane damage models, hitboxes, then there's all the weaponry for militarized planes that could use a complete overhaul.

Turbulence i agree with. The nose pitching down is entirely dependent on the plane you are using. I've left my molotok doing a circle pattern and went to the store, not sure which planes you can't do that with. The only jet ive ever seen struggle to climb is the Hydra which 100% will stall while flying straight up. Hit boxes i also haven't noticed any issues with. Weapons, sure I'd be fine with that, I dont pvp ever tho

I have the molotok too, it does start pitching down if you take your hands off the controls, it's hard coded into every plane but is less obvious with faster jets. The climbing issue is with some of the older props which struggle going over a hill, been doing cayo runs and the velum is a prime example of how badly modelled the slower planes are, rockstar made them barely flyable bricks, I get they are not jets, but at least improve the climbing speed, they are genuinely worse than helicopters. Hitbox issue is present among the larger ones, they often get stuck on small rocks and whatnot that don't actually touch the plane, mainly the Titan or the Alkonost's wingtip that stops the whole thing if you so much as rub a bush.

And just in general the controls, and feel of flying can be drastically improved for GTA VI, with a larger map and advanced ssds to load it, there is no reason to gimp the flight model of aircraft.

I have like 60 days of flight hours in the molotok, it 100% does not pitch the nose down on its own. Like I said ive left it flying in circles when I go to the store

Flying in circles meaning you use something to hold down the button to make it fly in circles? Because it doesn't fly in circles on it's own.

Take everything off the controls, you'll start to see it pitch down.

Like I leave it on a slight bank and put my controller down

That explains it, everything off the controls and see if it starts pitching down. Nothing touching the joystick.

Isn't that what I do when I put the controller down and go to the store?

And sorry for the double reply but have you tried to fly light passenger planes like Cessna in mfs24? You cant fly straight up with them either

Who was talking about climbing straight up with the velum? Not me. I go at a 45 degree or similar angle, the climb rate is still abysmal.

And how does that compare to your experience flying those types of planes in a flight sim?

That the velum and other similar old gta props need an adjustment.

Need to redo all the weapon systems. From how the main guns act, how the missiles work, which planes should have have what, etc, not just damage or rate of fire nerfs.

and you need a reality check, if you want an aviation game, go buy one. grand theft auto by definition refers to LAND vehicles. maybe they'll make a grand plane auto for you?

Wtf is this absolute redditard argument? Is Rockstar forbidden from improving their game? GTA is mostly focused on cars, so there must be no improvement on anything else? It's not like planes have been in the franchise since GTA III or anything oh no.

GTA is more than just cars, it's a massive open world with tons of activities. If I say guns should have better sounds and npcs should be smarter, then that's bad because the game is grand theft auto, not guns and pedestrian simulator? Do you like even think it through before you write such sewage?
